I received passport request on 12th July 2010 and submitted passport and financial proof on 13th July 2010 to Canadian embassy. In my case I submitted in person and will pick up in person.

Looks another week or so before I get my passport back. Does anyone know what is the normal wait period after passport submission.

Since Interview on Jun.25, 2010 my wife from Jalandhar also waiting for the Passport back with Visa. Hopefully will get it within this week.

The visa office in Tokyo just asked for my wife's passport. She sent it and it got there the next day. It's been an amazingly smooth process so far. Hope it's been the same for everyone else!

So I just received a letter from CIC Buffalo requesting an original police certificate. We sent an original with our application in March. Frustrating. Our only saving grace is that they gave my husband 2 copies of finger prints in Decemebr when he had them done, so at least we don't have to wait on that part. We do have to wait for another FBI check , though. They gave us 90 days from the day of the letter which we received today July 14th and which is dated June 23rd. We moved from the States to Canada June 23rd and changed our address on the 24th, since we had not crossed the border until then and did not want to set off any alarms. I hope we can get an FBI clearance done and submitted to Buffalo within 70 days. Our request to the FBI will go out tomorrow. I know we sent an original with our application-that's what we waited for until we sent it! Frustrating.

thanks my friend.. i got the visa via registered post after 50 days. i think my file was delayed because i been to england, europe, singapore, malaysia and thialand. they take lil more time for people who had travelled abroad. good luck to you

50 days?? Thats very long time. Shikha got visa issued on 7 july and she got her passport on 12 july.

I have sent by passport on 14 July through Blue Dart.

I got my visaaaaaaaaaaaa yayyyyyyy thank u all for ur wishes and good news... i am soooooo happy,,,, I got it this morning in mail.... regular courier,,,, even my postman was happy..... we gave sweets to him,,,,,, anyone else got it?

i hope everyone gets their visa's soon. It's werid, i am so hooked on this site, even though i got my visa, it feels u all are family..... lets all stay firends okay....
