Please review me timeline:

Application received at Mississauga office= March 29, 2010
Application approved and sent to Islamabad office= April 23, 2010

Now I am trying to get the update from e-Client but it gives the following error message:
“Error! – It looks like this identification number is already in the system. If you already signed up and would like to make changes, or if you're having problems, please contact me.”

What does it means?

It means they are in the middle of updating their computer system and thats why we guys get different types of error messages. Means they have not yet finished updating their system. When they finish, u will get ur correct status update message.

When I called CIC to get a status update on my application, I did not mention anything about not seeing the information on ecas instead I asked to know the status of my application, the lady asked for identification(Client ID or receipt number etc) , followed it up with a few security questions and provided me with the information.

So maybe it is the way you ask the question.....??????

Thanks. I will call again. All I said was that I wanted to check the status of my application. She said, "when did you send it" and I said May 9 and she said, forget it, it hasn't been processed yet. That's it. I will call back and hopefully get someone who will check, but half the times that I call, they say that the lines are too busy, etc. etc. I will call later this week when they seem to be less busy. Thanks all!!

my file was transferred to delhi office on 9th april but still no updates from delhi office. fingers crossed :-\

Samrupl , As i checked on other guys updates from New Delhi, u will be getting email (If provided to them on ur sponsored persons application form) or letter soon.

Today on Ecas Permanent Residence Application Status changed to IN PROCESS:
We started processing Mr's XXX application on April 28, 2010.
Medical results have been received.

Waiting for interview....By the way - we e-mailed the officer asking whether we should hire an interpreter, they replied that the officer speaks Russian (one of the languages my husband can speak freely).

BTW: they requested to bring an original marriage certificate - long form. We married in Canada, not sure what do they mean by long form - when I ordered marriage certificate, I ordered also a certified copy (that was long... actually copy of marriage application with other signatures, but that one was already sent with application). Am I missing something?

Dont worry you will be in canada in couple of months lol ND finalize cases so fast my application is ISB long wait for me

I spoke to my wife...the letter arrived today and she has been accepted as a sponsor! One important step down, and one to go! Very exciting! ;D

Our file was transferred to Buffalo on April 28th. And the wait begins...again...
