Aneyshar, any news?

How long did it take everyone to be able to log into ecas after they were approved? It's been about 5 days and I have had no luck. Can you only log in once your application arrives at the VO?

Also, Happy Thanksgiving everyone :) I hope everyone has nice plans for the long weekend, even if it's just extra sleep and curling up with a good book! Personally, I'll be studying the entire weekend, except for when I'm stuffing myself with turkey :P

no you should be able to log on anytime you have the client ID or filenumber. It is just that eCas does not seem to get updated regularily so you just have to keep trying \\

Client ID = use your sponsor information to log on
File No. = Use applicant information

pity the first decision made on my ecase is the one about the sponsorship...lol would be awesome if it was about the application

You actually cannot rely in ecas at all. My husband just got his PR visa they sent out his passport on Thurs and he got it on Friday and nothing has ever been updated. All it says is application received and it has the date it arrived in Mississauga only.. It is frustrating but the only thing you can do is be patient. I have learned a lot about patience throughout this crazy cic prosess!

Good luck to all. Happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Hi all

I am so glad to see this forum...I am beyond frustration trying to wait for my husband's visa...would someone please guide me here...

Here is my timeline
July 5th - application sent to missisauga office
July 15th- email received that sponsorship approved and file sent to india
July 22nd- file reached india
August 11th- husband received a letter, asking to pay fees and submit PCC if not already done so and send passports which will not guarantee that he is getting the visa, it is just for further processing purposes
August 29th - new delhi office received passport
Since then, I am waiting...no news and no updates on the website...is this normal?? plz advice!!

@eb1

Are you sure the application sent date is in July and not in June.... if it is July then yours was the quickest approval I have seen so far !!! 10 days :o :o :o

you are still within the time line of ND processing time..so you gotta wait for few more weeks...

actually not, i first applied in april because my husband was here in canada but did not stay long enough to retain his PR status, they asked him to apply for travel documents from new delhi to see if he was still a PR of canada? He applied and got called for an interview and then got rejected becuase he needed to have stayed atleast 2 years. So I reapplied for him in July, because this whole process wasted 2 months of the precious time :(

Congratulations everyone that has been approved! Fingers crossed that anyone still waiting hears something this week! Hopefully the thanksgiving turkey glow means the cm will work extra quick!

Looks like London is slowley but surely creeping towards the july applicants, hopefully not long to go for all the londoners on here! ;D

Oh and Anyeshar have you heard anything yet?? Call and give them hell, this is ridiculous!

I wish enough people on here applied through Berlin for there to be a Berlin thread!! Haha. Judging from past applicants and the official time line, it could be anywhere from 6 weeks to 9 months!!!! Makes it damn difficult to plan your life :P
