yeah may be. one of my friends said that CIC is gonna introduce 2 yrs conditional visa very soon, may be thats why they have literally stopped working until they get new guidelines.

I think the conditional visa is a good thing. Protects the country and the sponsor. If fraud is determined in those two years then back the person goes. If our relationships are legitimate then the conditional visa would not be of major concern for us.

That was announced in March 2011. Yeah it might not be the problem for genuine cases.
If they are giving conditional visa then they should at least reduce the time limit. ::)

i am with u, it will be good for everybody, at least we can start living with our partners in short time.

@mercur

Thanks for sharing the link..it was very nice and informative..

I too believe that conditional visas will at least reduce the time limit and will be of help for genuine cases...and marriage frauds will be under control then...this kind of people just make us wait to see our spouses longer than expected..
and the worst thing is it is also tough to get a tourist visa for spouses when your application is under process..and there is no other way than waiting....

yeah, well said

..on the Conditional Visa for spousal...it will take a few months for this bill to get through Parliament and discuss/approved...
also, "this type of PR" violates the Canada Human Rights Act...

as the sponsor has a "bargaining advantage" to threaten the "sponsored"....

But lets get it positive as there could be a chance in decreasing timeline. ::)

every system has bad and good sides, conditional pr will stop fake people. if the sponsor bargains then his/her partner should break the relation. why to stay with a bad person??

and keeping genuine couple apart from each other for 2 years is also against human rights.

Yeah may be they are thinking over to decrease timeline by introducing this very Bill.
Might be they want that all the fraud cases will be screened automatically once they get to know that they are being given conditional permanent residence.
So might be this help CIC work speedily as then the cases will be limited. ::)
