It depends on what VO you're going through - Manila and New Delhi ask for the passports right at the start of the process, while other offices don't ask for it until the final decision has actually been made.

Landed June 17th at Vancouver. Great to be a PR finally however the experience was jaded slightly because of the following:

A five and a half hour wait at immigration before I got to see an IO to accept my COPR and stamp my passport, which took 5 minutes - and no I didn't get a "Welcome to Canada" or anything of the sort. I had to initiate all the niceties (Thank you, goodbye etc).

A public grilling by the IO about my petty criminal file from 12 years ago and a previous work permit refusal that they already knew about.

They didn't accept my E4 lists because of no serial numbers for the electrical items however they said that they are 99% sure it will all be ok when I try to clear everything as long as everything I own looks more than 6 months old.

Vancouver customs are not open 24/7 unlike Gatwick/Heathrow so I had to go home with 6 boxes (300kg) at the cargo terminal still. I now have a 20 hour round trip back to Van to collect my stuff today (I'm assuming I can get an appointment with CBSA).

It looks like they requested another document from vagabondforever, and he got his PPR very shortly after that. ;D

Hm thanks kaycee. I just been waiting two months since request so I feel like pregnant woman who is gonna to pop any minute soon. That waiting drives me mad.
