I agree. The struggle is over. Now back to sleep cause its 4am!

wow!! congrats to everyone who has theirs, it sure is some major stress off your plate. I am still waiting to hear from our visa office. I scanned the requested docs. 2wice and faxed it 3 times a week after i got the request from them, just to be triple sure they got it. I then sent them an email a week later requesting an acknowledgement of receipt, and to my horror, i got a reply after 10days asking me to resend the docs. That is 2 weeks of wasted time. It would have been much better if the visa officer gave me a direct email to send the docs to instead of the general mailbox.
But of course, I sent the docs again after venting my frustration on the computer.
wish every one good luck...

Congratulations drdave!!

You can put me down for a landing date of May 18, 2011.
I'm so exceited.

Yayyy shandymoo!! ...Did you go in the front entrance to hand in your passport and how long did you have to wait? My husband is dropping his off next Thursday ...Have you booked your flight already?

You wait at the left side of the door to drop off and on the right side to pick up.
I didn't wait long at all from when they started letting people in. I was near the front of the line when I joined it at 1:20pm. The pick ups were in and out with big brown envelopes in less than 10 seconds. I was done by about 2:05pm! Make sure he takes his email printed out with him as the man asks you to take it out when you go inside, he doesn't look at it it's just so when you go to the desk you can quote your file number as soon as you go up to it. He asks for everything one at a time and puts it into a plastic wallet and then staples a raffle ticket to a document that says about picking it up 2 weeks later. He hands you that and says it will be ready in 2 weeks it was all over really quickly!
I haven't booked my flight yet but looking at the end of may i think.

Thanks so much for that ...my husband was so anxious he booked his flight this morning ...he sold his car yesterday and making arrangements for everything else ...i cant blame him tho ..im a tad bit anxious myself ...our ECAS still wont work for him ...his file number starts with an F ..wondering if that has anything to do with it ...regardless, he's got his PPR and i can hardly wait for him to get here ...Excited for you as well ...its been a long journey for both of us ...

mine is an F too and works for me. But it doesnt matter anyway it still gives the same info that the sponsors gives! Useless really! Also theres 2 doors to the embassy its the door if you turn around you face buildings on the otherside of the street not the door if you turn around you face a park across the road ;)

Thank you for that bit of information ..that will definitely be helpful ...where did you get your photos done anyways ...my husband is looking at a few places but i think it would be better if he got them done a little ahead of time ..

i bought some single weight matte paper and printed them off myself. I did the same with my immigration pics but they were printed on glossy photo paper with no problems. Just get them done at a passport photo booth, immigration pics are the same as UK passport pics no matter what they say on the forms. Its not London that cares about the pics anyway you will be contacted later on, once you have been landed for a few months, by the people that make the PR cards if your photo isnt correct and you have 30 days to submit another one.
