A decision wouldn't be made and deny our application without asking for additional information or an interview would they? ...im getting all nervous now because ECAS was updated first and haven't received a letter or email before that ..in my experience ECAS is always behind ..

what a great week! Have you not had a PPR email yet? They dont send letters in the mail unless you leave your email details blank. They email the applicant's email address not the sponsor.

My husband hasnt got the email yet ...i double checked our copy of the application that we kept and we did put my husbands email on there ...how long should we wait if we havent heard anything and who would we contact? altho i do anticipate hearing from them on Tuesday when they are open again ..

Hmm weird, didn't you get an email instead of a letter back when you got sponsorship approval? Lol funny if they do it the other way round again for you. London seems to send out the PPR emails on wednesday's more than any other day. I got mine at 9:05am (UK time) While your waiting go and get 2 pictures done (same specs as the 8 immigration ones you send with the application) this time there's an added requirement that they must be printed on "single weight matte paper." I was all for going to london the next day to hand it in until i saw that and didnt have time to get new ones done and didnt want to risk driving 4 hours to be sent away cos the pics weren't right. Then I heard that apparently London don't mind if you do use glossy ones, they dont check the spec, they attatch one pic to the COPR document they give with your returned passport and the other they send off for your PR card. If the pic isnt right for the people who do the PR cards they will contact you and you have to submit another one, however this will happen once you have landed in canada so it doesn't affect the visa issuing and landing process! So i could have gone down after all! Oh well!

i just checked ecas and it's been updated. Now says Decision Made and that they started processing on April 19th. So it took them one whole day to process my file LOL that can't be right can it?

Did your ECAS update show all of this as well? We started processing your application on April XX, 2011. A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision."

And yes i did get an email for my sponsorship ...my husband is still waiting for an email regarding his PR ...this wait is killing me and him tho ...

I got my ppr on wednesday april 20th ecas updated today and now says:

We received SHANDYMOO's application for permanent residence on February 17, 2011.

We started processing SHANDYMOO's application on April 19, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on SHANDYMOO's application. The office will contact SHANDYMOO concerning this decision.

Exactly what my husbands said ...im feeling a little more at ease ...will be sure to let you know when my husband gets his email ...im always worried something is going to go wrong ...but thats me just a worry wart i suppose ...

The above was when I logged into ecas using my sponsors details.

When I log in using my details and the Immigration file number they gave me on the PPR email it says:

"We received your application for permanent residence on February 17, 2011.

We started processing your application on April 19, 2011.

Medical results have been received.

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision. "

So it says "your" instead of my name.

Congrats shykitten! I'm amazed at how many ecas updates happen on the weekend, and on Good Friday too!! They don't seem to work during the week, just when its a holiday loll

Has anybody else gotten an ECAS update before getting an email from the High Commission? (besides IndividualLikeEveryoneEls) ..im now stressing out like crazy ...i think more than the whole immigration process :'(

Nope, I figure that may only delay things further if I ask this soon. If I haven't heard in the next few weeks I will probably email them. Not sure how long I can handle being on the edge of my seat. Really happy to hear London applicants are being approved now though

If it is any consolation:

- Sponsor Approval ONLY advised by mail, no email;

- File Transfer advised only by ecas;

- attempted phone call from London HC followed 10 days by email;

- ecas - Sponsor receipt no. still just shows File TF/Meds received

- ecas - my File No. on the above email will not access ecas!

Go figure!

I've come to the conclusion by reading many many posts on this forum that ecas is basically useless! It seems to be updated randomly (usually on a holiday weekend, go figure) and seems to have little or no relationship to what is really going on with people's files!! ??? ??? It's really easy to get ourselves all in a knot over what it might mean or might not mean, when really it means nothing!!

I've stopped even looking at it, figure I'll hear something when I hear something!!!
