Hi guys. I just wanted to pass along some information from the December thread. The Buffalo office has been sending some of our applications to the satelite offices. If any of you are anxious about the lack of news from them, that is probably why. I'm not sure how many applications they'll send to the other offices, or if that part of it will affect you guys, but I think it's part of why we've had so little news from them.

Shandymoo: "I have a friend in london who i will send my passport to and she is going to drop it off and collect it for me 2 weeks later."

In anticipation of when I get my PPR (!!) as I am in the US I will not be able to go in person either. Is there a set out protocol? What authority does your friend need to collect the "visa'd" passport?

a signed letter from you authorising them to collect it on your behalf
and they must bring their own form of photo ID

shandymoo - how long do they give you to submit your passport to them? We have 3 international trips planned between now and the end of June and can't be without a passport, so I'm a bit concerned about the time line. (not that we have a PPR yet anyway!!!)

45 days.

I've decided i shall drive to london tomorrow morning and drop off my passport in person. Then my dads going to take me to pick it up 2 weeks later. I have to work notice on my job until may 20th and i've found a cheap £199 one way flight on may 24th so hopefully should all work out to plan!

My husband got his PPR today too!!! Very excited. I've been stalking this site every day waiting until I had something to add. I think he's going to send his as he still has to give notice at work and a few other things so he'll need the 6 weeks to get organized. Good luck everyone else!! I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

oh it takes 2 -3 months is the new timeline they take to return passports after submission

thanks guys! I still think boomoo is someone playing a joke on me its too big of a coincidence that their username is mine and my husbands pet names put together and their timeline is identical to mine! :

Oh well. I am approved still can't believe it! Sorry to rub it in but 1st one from London!!!
The amount of stuff i sent though was ALOT! 6 years worth of evidence/pictures no one could say it wasn't genuine! Probably blew them away haha STILL no ecas updates! Just says application received! Im dying to know how long it took them to process my application!

i just checked ecas and it's been updated. Now says Decision Made and that they started processing on April 19th. So it took them one whole day to process my file LOL that can't be right can it?

I hope this means what I think it means ..I checked ECAS just now "We started processing MJM's application on April 20, 2011. A decision has been made on MJM's application. The office will contact MJM concerning this decision."
