Table updated :D Thanks for the info quakingaspen, hopefully some of ours will go really quickly too!

Hello hello. I'm new to this thread and site. :)

I (Canadian) sent my wife (American)'s inch-thick PR application in the mail today by Xpresspost.

Good luck to us all!

Great Table Kaycee!!

It's nice to see everyone's timelines all organized and i can't believe how few of us there are compared with past months. I'm guessing alot of people tried to get theirs in over the holidays so they wouldn't have to think about it.

I'm keen to see how the processing goes!

I have a question for those that have had their sponsorship approved....

How long does it take to hear the next thing, and what is next?

We're still waiting for the decision letter to arrive, the site sais "decision made" and a letter has been sent, but we've not received the letter yet.

It sais the letter was sent on the 21st of Jan. I know Canada Post tends to be crappy anyway, but this seems too long (or maybe I'm just impatient....).

Do they tell you when they're sending it onto Buffalo from Mississauga?

thanks for the table guys! Hope we all start hearing something very very soon!!

What i want to know is when they say "decision made" on ecas (i still cant log into mine) do they send a letter or do they send an email if your sponsor provided one on the application forms?

They will send you a letter in the mail with your sponsorship decision. It depends on which Visa office you're going through what you will hear next. Typically, the next step is an AOR, or Aknowledgement of Receipt from your Visa Office. For the Decemeber group, this has been taking the form of an update on eCAS that says your application and medicals have been received. Some people in our group skipped the AOR and have gone on to "In Process" which is where eCAS is updated to say that your application is currently being worked on. We have three now who have a PassPort Request, and skipped the AOR and In Process stages completely.

In your sponsorship decision letter, it will tell you if you have met the requitements for eligibility to be a sponsor. It will then tell you which visa office your application has been forwarded to.

My letter said "While the Application for Permanent Residence has been found to meet minimum requirements for completeness under the Immigration Act, the visa office may, where necessary, request additional documents and information from your relative(s)." I would guess that if they noticed your application was missing something, this is where they would request that you send it.

And, lastly, it confirmed the receipt of the processing fee.

I'm not sure how Buffalo is doing. No one in the December group has heard anything from Buffalo. Someone in the November thread called them, and they said they were working on the applications they had received from Mississauga on December 1st.

Thanks Quaking.....

I do know we're going through Buffalo. Somehow I'm not suprised that it's that inconsistent with the notifications, after all this is a government operation ;D

I'm just anxious........there's absolutely no reason I can think of for the sponsorhip to be declined, but I worry anyway..

I am grateful for the supportive community here, thanks everyone!

Hi Wells Dad

did you receive your sponsorship approval ? I mean is it your ecas updated ?

Buffalo is in slow motion.

Hi pmary...

The ecas still sais "decision made", and that they've sent us a letter regarding what that decision is.

The letter is going to my Canadian address, I'm currently visiting my wife and kids in the US, so haven't got my hands on the letter as of yet. We have a Canadian friend checking the PO box for us, but nothing yet.

Haven't heard anything else yet......I've tried calling (there is a number that works, sometimes, from outside Canada), but to no avail.....

Sometimes patience is difficult.

Decision made wow good news. congratulation! Wells dad.
u got the Visa.

No no he doesn't have the visa. A decision has been made regarding his sponshorship
