me and my husband also planned to hire a lawyer to our application, because I have a child from previous relationship and she's late registered.. we thought we would be having trouble but thanks so much to this forum specially to leon! my questions are answered almost instantly with links they gave me that I can review.. now we are almost confident on our application.. and also there are rumors of fake immigration lawyers so better do things by yourself plus more.. more .. more research than spending thousands on lawyers (if you can't see any difficulties on your case)... ^_^

Fleo - we're hoping to send ours on at the beginning of next week as well. Which office are you going through? Will be interesting to see how our timelines compare :)
Actually, we are applying inland (that's CPC Vegreville), so most of you guys will be done way before we are... but being able to live together all this time is well worth it in my opinion :)

Either way - paperwork is gathered, fees are payed, and it seems we are really finally ready to send this thing. Kind of weird, but I will be so much calmer once it's out of my hands... I guess I just can't listen to myself freaking out over missing something/doing something wrong/not having enough evidence of this or that/reason X :D

Fleo - I know exactly where you're coming from. That's one of the reasons that I just want to get it done and filed today! We've been at it for five months....(but the last couple have really been waiting fr the new year to roll around so we can file) but you can't just let it sit! Almost every night we would be looking at an application form and seeing if its alright or reading our relationship essays to see if we could add to them etc etc. At least when you've sent it off, it's kinda "outta sight outta mind" because you can't make any changes but I guess you then get addicted to checking e-cas (from what I've seen on all the previous months threads!).

We just need to get up to my boyfriends Moms house (she's got a printer) today to print off anything that we've made changes to and we're ready to roll!

Exciting and scary all at the same time.!

Yeah - my partner and I finally sent it off today - Jan 14th.

We're applying outland.

Like eveyone is saying I can not believe how long it took. When i first started I thought we would have everything organized in a few weeka and we've been at it now for about 3 months.

Does any one know how long it takes before you get the information that allows you to check the status online? We paid online and I can't seem to use the code from my receipt to access the Ecas. Anyone else have this issue as well? Do we get a letter from CPC Mississauga saying they received the package or just check our UPS tracking number?

Here's to waiting!

Good luck to everyone!

We're sending ours off later today (its 2:35 am here now) :o We've been working on this for months now, HAVE to get it off or I'm going to go crazy!!!! Took us awhile to get info for my husband's non-accompanying daughter (her mom balked at the medicals, photos, etc). I've been through the whole package so many times now, I sure hope I haven't missed anything!!!

Hey Kaycee - we're filing ours today too (after too many "we're filing this week") I am actually going to the post office today.

However, I'm going to spend the next 3 or 4 hours going through every single question to make sure I've not missed anything and that I've ticked every box, crossed my t's and dotted my i's.

Cannot wait.....it is such a lengthy process. It'll be worth it in the end but these last 4 months have been a bit hectic to say the least!

Fingers and toes crossed our apps are ok and we have quick turnaround times!!!

Mississauga got our appliation this morning!

So now the count down begins...

I understand we don't receive a letter until they approve the sponsorship part of the application. Has anyone been able to log into e-case yet. I tried to log in with my payment receipt but I paid online with a credit card and it doesn't seem to be working for me.

Has anyone else had any experience with this?

It sure is a lot of work - I went through everything for about the 25th time last night. We've spent so much time every evening working on this, its going to be nice to get back to a normal life! Now its out of our hands and into someone elses! :(Hopefully they look kindly on all our applications

Hey, I'm from December thread. Just thought i'd add, you can apply outland and still live together in canada.... outland or inland just refers to the VO the application is processed. I am applying outland through London office as its way faster than inland. But i'm here in Toronto.
Good luck with everything!!! Fingers crossed for you and everyone.

My app was sent by Fedex on Dec 31st, arrived Jan 4th

I've signed up to the e-CAS Tracker at ecas.carroll.org.uk to see when anything happens

Good luck everyone on here

Hey hey guys.....super excited, we're off to post our applications right now!

(It was supposed to get done yesterday but we've somehow lost the photos so are off to get 8 more each - yay!)

Cannot wait for this to be out of our hands (and hopefully in the hands of some lovely IO!!)

Whoop! :D

Good luck with posting your application, hope the post office went well!

It was such a relief to mail it (until I start panicking about all the little things I may have forogtten) - after 3 very stressful days regarding our meds and some photos, I have finally found a mini Zen of 'it's out of our hands, nothing we can do about it, if we forgot something they will just send it back' - although this is accompanied by a obsessive need to check the Dec thread's table, and the CPC site (i still don't have access to ecas)

Anyway - I wondered if anyone wanted to start one of those nice little table/chart things to track track all of our progress.
The Dec 2010 forum has one and it looks really helpful.

I'm happy to get it going but don't want to step on any toes in case someone else had their heart set on doing this.

we just my aplication last jan 10 i think, havent heard anything yet so as in ecas, praying to the Lord have my application approve, il be super happy to be there with the man i love :)

Ok.....forms sent and should (hopefully) get there by the end of this week!!!

Alie - I had planned on doing that once I'd sent my forms off but have no probs whatsoever if you want to....I'm going travelling in another 8 days for a full 5 weeks so won't really be able to update it much - it's all yours!!!

Everybody on this thread, good luck. Fingers, toes and everything else crossed!!!!!
