Fantastic - looks like after a bit of a dry spell CIC was busy yesterday! Congrats to everyone - I know many of you who had applications received in Mississauga around the 20th were getting stressed. It's great to see that things seem to be moving forward again.

PS - I know someone else asked this earlier but has anyone been able to log in with the applicant's e-cas yet or so far just with the sponsors.

ECAS working today with sponsor's data.

The AOR date of my application was FEB.16, 2011.
However, my application was returned, with a letter saying that proof of lawful admittance into the USA for at least one year is needed. And that his work permit is not proof of lawful admittance.

Documents needed:

- current or expired entry/exit in your national passport
- current or expired status documents indicating the date you were admittedand the validity

The thing is my husband already included copies of his passport with all entry/exit stamps and also the current and expired visas.
My husband is an international student on a student visa from JAN. 01, 2009 to AUG.27, 2010, then upon graduation he got his work permit for one year ( NOV. 2010 - NOV.2011)
The expiry date of his visa in the passport is in 2015. Doesn't this mean he was lawfully admitted in the USA for one year?
I don't really know what they're asking?
What other proof needs to be included?
Anyone know?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

hey why dont you call them up asap and they will explain you exactly what they need just to be on the safe side. I guess probably they wanting to see the document which states his entry/admitted to america legally.Btw why dont you post this to main forum to get more help from senior members.

My ecas now says "Decision made" on Feb 24, but no letter yet, we'll see if it comes today! Not sure why it took them 8 days to process!!! Just my luck, I always get the slowest cashier at Safeway too ???
