they probably lost our pile you know it's a common thing for them to lose stuff apparently ;)

Hi everyone!

My husband had his interview yesterday at Stockholm. Have a look at my post about the experience: http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/approved-in-interview-but-pending-background-checks-t50153.0.html

He was approved at the interview but a visa cannot be issued until his background checks are done, which they are not! UGH!!!!!! and of course, there is no timeline for the completion of background checks :(

Very happy to get this big step out of the way, and very anxious to hear good news soon - I hope!

Passport request received last Monday.... I had actually stopped checking my email because I was tired of being disappointed each day !

We already had flights booked to leave for Vancouver in September so I'm going to fly up to Buffalo to pick up my Visa - since they won't courier them back and forth and it takes up to 15 working days to process vs. what I've heard takes only an hour or two when you go in person. A little expensive but a small price to pay to have visa in hand !

Good luck to those still waiting - keep checking your emails, you never know !

Wifes on the plane to Sao Paulo for her interview :o oh the next couple days will be nail bitters.Crossing fingers, toes,eyes,legs......

good luck irarblue! don't worry, my husband and i were SO nervous and completely OVER prepared...for a very simple, short, and sweet interview! It was just a formality and things went very well. I wish the same for your wife :)
