I really wish it for you. I understand your wife stress but i am sure it will go well and maybe she will be lucky enough to get her visa on her interview day. I really wish it for both of you. I will keep my wife in my thoughts on the day she will have her interview.

well ive mad eit back to canada after being with my wife for 10 months in brazil. it was one of the hardest things i have had to do.

i have left to prepare for the arrival (hopefully soon) and started to get things setup here in laval/montreal.

for those who have had to leave their spouses behind, its not easy to be strong but we must as what keeps us together is love.

missing my wife :(

Well you should hear something soon comp.We pretty much filed the same time yours was delayed a little bit for the Quebec thing so she got her letter for interview last month so you should have something anyday now.

i sure hope so.. this wait is killing me... been since feb...

have to be soon!!

whens the interview again?

August 17th,she is flying to Sao Paulo on the 16th and going back home on the 18th.So she is hoping they give here the visa when she is there. So we will see what happens. She says she is ready for it and anything they throw at her lol.
I hope she gets it on the 17th/18th i dont think i can put up with much more.

Sorry to hear that. I know the waiting is hard, but that's just the way it is. Be sure to stay on top of them ever so often by phone or email. You never know if something happened and they haven't been able to communicate something important to you.

Sure.

- Got my police certs in advance and had them by January

- Did my medicals in advance (mid-February, I believe)

- I submitted my application (FAM spousal with all documentation) late February (circa Feb 26th) to Mississauga (specifying London as processing centre)

- London office started processing application April 16th (I didn't know it yet at the time, however)

- Received a letter in the mail asking for a re-payment of a fee (we did something wrong) May 17th

- Some time mid-June, eCAS was updated saying medical results had been received

- July 29th, received passport request... I think I can expect anything up to 6 weeks before I get it back.

I think the fee payment problem delayed my application (it says in the documentation it will incur a 2 month delay, but the call centre person said it would not delay our application, so not sure).

In any event, it's all feeling a bit surreal to me at the moment. All I care about is getting to see my wife soon, since we've been apart since November and it would be nice to go back to a normal life without Skype for a change. Friends and family are arranging a surprise party for me (wifes not too good with secrets! haha) and it's just nice knowing that you are no longer stuck in limbo.

I hope the rest of you get your very shortly as well. :)

congrats coriander. great timeline for London. We're, actually I am, anxious for my husband's interview. REALLY hope it goes well and to get an approval at the interview and have everything they need already. I hope I hope....

I need so much comforting and reassurance. I miss him, so much! The wait is horrible.

Thank you very much. :) I hope it all goes well for you as well. How does the interview work, by the way? DO they have to interview you both separately or just your spouse?

Nope. They are only interviewing him.

Well, I hope everything will go smoothly. And it all looks so distant now, but try to remember that some day soon you will be looking back with your hubby and it will all seem like a distant memory. I think any couples that can stick something like this out - that have that much commitment to each other - are the ones that will last a lifetime and you have so much to look forward to :)
