hi arcuva/dralon

if you look at one of my previous entries on this thread, i stated how the cpc-m received our application on feb 12th and we heard nothing for weeks - couldn't sign on to e-cas or anything, then last week, april 1st, we received a letter from them stating that my spouse has been accepted as a sponsor. the letter itself was dated march 9th, but posted march 10th. the cost of postage was $1.70.

we're both in south korea, so at that price i can see why the letter took a long time to get here! and it's been a week since we received that letter and we still can't sign on to e-cas. i think, like most people have said, you just have to be patient.

i hope you hear something soon!

i wonder what cic answered arcuva wife if she had time to call today i am curious

Thanks for your support, my wife called this morning, and they told her, that is normal had not received any answer yet, because they are looking in files received until february 8th, and maybe next week, we would have our answer about the case.

My wife told the person that she knows that there are other people who already received their answer, and the person said, that is impossible, clearly in the web site of cic, says they are processing until february 8th ???, so what we can do, just be patient how camarsden told me.

I will let you know about any uptades of my case, I hope with good news :D, thanks to everybody, and regards.

Isn't that funny how their left hand do not know what their right hand is doing. The people working at the calling center are very misinformed i guess.. Oh well Patience.. but i am feeling so impatient when it comes to immigration :P

dear all.

just a quick update about our application.

so we received a second letter yesterday, from the canadian office in seoul, stating that my application has been provisionally approved and that they want my passport within the next 30 days. the letter also states that my passport will be returned within 30days with the accompanying visa and papers/documentation.

we were both shocked/amazed/excited by this letter, as for the past 2 months, where we heard next to nothing about our application, within the last 7 days it's almost complete!

and, as for e-cas. well, i was finally able to log on to it for the first time this morning!

wishing the best of luck to the rest of you, and may your applications be as speedy as ours!

Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!! Time to celebrate ;D that was quick, start to package, you will soon in Canada, good for you, thanks for share with us, and for your best wishes.

camarsden i am curious what was your timeline. I am happy for you it is nice to see cases going fast gives me hope that maybe a little miracle will happen to us for Buffalo.

Dear all.

Many thanks for your comments.

To Dralon – our timeline, so far, has been like this:

Application sent (from Seoul to CPC-M): Feb 9th
Application received: Feb 12th

Heard nothing for weeks and weeks, including not being able to sign into e-CAS, then…

Sponsor decision letter received (in Seoul): April 1st (although the letter was dated March 9th and posted March 10th)
Sponsored letter received, requesting passport be sent to Canadian Embassy in Seoul: April 8th (although the letter was dated March 31st)

And that’s it. The last letter we got stated that my application has been ‘provisionally approved’, so it’s not quite finalized just yet, but it also stated that my passport, upon the embassy receiving it, will be returned to me within 30days and shall contain my resident visa and landing papers.

Hope that helps.

I am going through Sao Paulo also... they got my docs on April 1st.
The CIC site says will take from 5-8 months...

I hope it takes less than 8 months :( I want to be home for the holidays!
