Hey Compuadnet,

Well, my CHC office is Islamabad, Pakistan and my time is average 6 to 8 months. Ok Brazil and how much average time it takes from Brazil after changes?
and what do you do?

I hope too that they don't ask you for a translation but mean while you can do some homework to translate those doc just in case you know ;)
I also had my documents translated first and then sent with originals just in case you know :) because I cant take any risk to live away from my sweetheart any extra day ;)

Ok I think e-cas would be updated in some hours so lets pray and wait with fingers crossed.

Regards

Hey Saggit,
From what CIC page states, anywhere from 5-10 months if I remember correctly to get PR.

If I am lucky, due to the date of the revision of the document and the date that my application was received they accept it not translated, and hopefully they didnt fire the portuguese employees there by the time they look at my stuff haha.

It is expensive to translate documents and then have them notarized and stamped. I'll hope for the best that they accept it as is.

I guess I am lucky, I do not have to be away from my sweet heart as I am in Brazil with her :)

I am missing my home (Montreal Canada) and my kids there so getting back to Canada for me is a priority.

Cheers!

Hi Everyone!!

Good news for all early Feb applicants!

MY status just got updated on ECAS

This is what I got online.

We received your application to sponsor on February 4, 2010.

We started processing your application on March 2, 2010.

We sent you a letter on March 2, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

MY Timeline:

Application Sent: Feb 02
Application Received at CPC-M : Feb 04
Application Processed on : March 02
Online Status Appeared on : March 04

I am waiting for the letter now..

However, there is a problem regarding mailing address.

On ECAS my home address is my current address which is absolutely fine..but the mailing address is my old home address. I never provided that old address even once when filing sponsorship application for my spouse and yet it appears as my old home address..

What do I do now.

Any help would be appreciated.

Good Luck to everyone!!

Great news all, seems cpc-m is finally pushing us through, best of luck to all

Congrats to both Saggits :-)

Can you please tell me what info to put on ecas to trace the application? I believe we just have online payment receipt number start with R0. right?

Hi,

I put in the following information:

IMM 5401 Receipt No: It could start with any letter, but it should be one letter followed by nine digits(numbers)

Sponsor's Last Name/Family Name

Sponsor's Date of Birth
Sponsor's Country of Birth

and it should work.

Good Luck

hey Saggit19, haven't gotten on ECAS yet, went through an immigration lawyer so working off your timelines and hope to have some news to share soon. From your posts should be hearing within a day or 4. Good news still for everyone. There are many extremely knowledgable people on this site that have gone through this and appreciate our challenges. As I mentioned I am going through Kingston and am the sponsor. The knowledge there is unbelievable, join if you chose and ask your questions, someone will respond. Although many in our forum have thier spouse/family here in Canada they still want to help us, simply amazing true Canadian spirit .

Hi Saggit,

Hmmm, I am thinking that if they sent the letter to your old address, you have 2 options... call CIC call center and give them the correct address and question them why they sent it to your old one. Maybe they can just send you another letter to your correct address?

2nd option is.. well not the ideal one is go to your old address, knock on the door and explain to the person living there that they may receive a letter for you. Show them your ID and maybe they can hold onto it for you??

Any other suggestions for others?

Thanks guys for all your help. May you all receive the good news soon. Yes we should all appreciate the help and support we are getting on this forum, and do our best to forward our experiences to other new applicants.

Will definitely follow your suggestions.

Many thanks
