Let's start a new forum for those applicants whose application was received by CIC last february.

Ours was receive feb 2 and we have received a letter of decision made last March 1.. here's our timeline.

Application Sent: 1/30/09
Received by CPC-M: 2/2/10
Decision Made/ Forwarded PR to MNL: 3/1/10
Received Letter of decison: 3/5/10

now.. haven't heard anything regarding my PR application here in manila

Did you encounter any problems, in regards to missing documents? It seems like it took quite a while. We are debating if we want to send our application through Singapore or Manila.

Hello, Act0917. Here's my timeline of application

Feb. 10 '10 - application sent at CPC-M
Feb. 11 '10 - CPC-M received the application
Mar 9 '10 - CPC-M approved the sponsorship application
Mar 12 '10 - my hubby received the letter of approval from CPC-M, docs were sent to Manila for processing

No news yet re my PR application in Manila.

When it comes to the sponsorship application, we haven't encountered any problems as far as documentation is concerned. We just followed the checklist that is included in the kit. But right now, I still waiting for the response of the manila embassy if they have received my PR application.. No problems so far. What r your concerns?? have you applied already?

No update yet from the Embassy in Manila.

7-20-2009 - CPC-M received our documents.
8-18-2009 - Decision Made according to ECAS
8-21-2009 - Sponsorship letter of approval received
9-1-2009 - ECAS change to "In Process" and started processing my application 8-25-2009
9-4-2009 - AOR letter with PPR
9-9-2009 - Sent Passport
10-16-2009 - VISA RECEIVED -
10-19-2009 - ECAS Decision Made

It took her last than 3 months to get her visa. I hope that would be the same case for us though the assessment of the visa officer would be on a case to case basis. Do you have any dependents na kasama dun sa visa application mo? Or only you? This is my first time to join a forum, nakisali ako kasi I noticed that the forum is specifically for Feb applicants and Manila visa office. We could compare notes on any development in our PR visa application. Where will you be staying in Canada?

Im the only one being sponsored since we just got married last september so i dont have dependents yet hehe ;D Yah that's why I created this topic so can we can compare and share what we are going through in processing our papers. As i have read this forum, some of the applicants usually took 4 months upon processing the papers in CPC-M. So hopefully that would happen to us also. I hope I could be there in Canada before his birthday or atleast before our wedding anniversary I'll be staying in Ontario, in NIagara. How about you??

Just wondering, are you working in a law firm or anything related in the field of law? Your name here reminds me of Republic Acts.

Same case din pala tayo. We just got married last December 2009, no dependents din yet. Will be staying in Ontario, Toronto since my husband, natural born Pinoy now a Canadian citizen, has been staying there for 22 years already. I think Niagara is just about an hour away from Ontario. Don't worry, am sure you would be there before your wedding anniversary, or even during the bday of your hubby in case that's earlier than your wedding anniversary. Will keep you posted.

hahaha no actually that are the initials of my name hehe.. what a small world.. we can see each other there in ontario.. Same case as your my hubby is a filipino migrated last 2008, then we got married last year.. There's just a delay with processing our papers because of NSO.. it took us 3 months to get our Marriage cert. I'm looking forward to be in canada really soon.. and ofcourse I know that you r thinking of it also

Hello,
I'm currently in the process of sponsoring my spouse who lives in Manila.
Here's our timeline:

Step 1: Canada
Sent application to CPC-M via Xpresspost: Feb 17, 2010
Application rec'd by CIC: Feb 19, 2010
Decision Made: Mar 16, 2010
CIC letter rec'd in the mail: Mar 22, 2010
(letter, dated Mar 16, states approval and that PR application sent to MNL)

Step 2: Philippines
PR Application IN PROCESS: Mar 30, 2010
Letter from Cdn Embassy rec'd in the mail: Apr 16, 2010
(letter, dated Mar 30, states that PR application is being processed, requests for passport to be sent)
Passport sent to Cdn Embassy via courier: Apr 19, 2010

Now, we're just waiting for further directions from CIC. Hope we get the visa soon!
