After a couple of unreturned email inquiries to Sydney VO (they usually reply within 48 hours!) I finally received an email with PPR dated May 25th 8)

I know I should be jumping up and down...but I just feel there's more waiting to be done.
Waiting for my passport to arrive in Sydney from Canada, waiting to get it back, waiting to cross the border and "land".

My takeaway - additional doc request definitely delays processing.

Good luck to all waiting for PPR. I hope you get your good news this week. :)

I cant wait to land!

congrats on PPR gally I am hoping that I hear something next week

Yeah great news gally, speedy returns of passport to you so you can start your new life in Canada!! :D

Come on Buffalo! your December people are feeling alone and unappreciated by you! we need some love too!!!

on another note ecas is still app received but I'm trying to have some faith that we will get IA soon.....

or else I find another stick to poke Buffalo with....

Good luck to everyone here!!! and congrats to all that have made some progress!!!

Thank you all for the congrats. :) Truly appreciate the support of this December group.

My e-cas has not changed - still shows "in process".

Just wanted to check with whoever else had his file forwarded to a satellite office (LA/NYC/DET) if they have heard ANYTHING since those files were transferred to 'expedite' the process ?

Clarkie0620 Have you heard from LA ?
Karla718 Have you heard from Detroit ?

After 7 weeks i am not able to get any response from NYC. Still Application Received in eCas (no In process).

Thanks

Last I heard, Clarkie hadn't heard anything yet...us that didn't get transferred are still without word as well. Was really hoping there would be some movement this week on our group :(

I think this week they just caught up on the temporary visa applications. We had no progress this week in regards to Family Class Sponsorship. Apart from the fact that people from February and even April have got their PPR.

I have no idea what's going on :(
This is soooooooooooooooooooo frustrating !

Agreed, sooo much. I was instructed to get my application in before the end of the year so everything would be done fast at the beginning of this year... That obviously did no good! Seeing people who applied months after us get PPR is painful in some ways. I want to be happy for them, but I'm honestly NOT. I'm still not in process, not a peep since AOR in March. I'm getting really worried! ???

My AOR was April 27....so i guess i have a LOTTT of waiting to be done :(
The worst part is, I am a PR, so I can't leave and go live with him, he can't come here and live with me. I was thinking there is no point in him applying for visitor visa now, as his PPR would be anytime, but I am getting double minded now. I am waiting to complete my days for citizenship as well, and every time I go visit him, I lose 3 days of the weekend :( It would be so much better if he could come here ! Well, it would be much better if he just gets PPR, and we start living together :(

Well, you never know... The completely scattered way CIC seems to work, you just might randomly get a surprise PPR sooner than you think! From what I've seen with the other recent PPRs, people seem to be completely surprised to get them. So, could be soon! Just keep that in the back of your mind. It's how I get (mostly) keep my sanity lately! ;D

I'm also hanging on to the idea that since their goal this week was to "eliminate the backlog" of temp visas (according to their website info), that all of us still waiting will see LOTS of movement in the next few weeks. Fingers are crossed HARD!

I saw the note on your spreadsheet says he is in the States on an H1B visa... Is he not originally from a visa exempt country? I admit I know NOTHING at all about H1Bs, but is there any tiny chance this type of visa would allow him to be "visa exempt" to visit Canada? (I REALLY hate asking vague questions which may open the door for more even vague information, but this makes me curious!)

No, he is from India. He needs a visa to enter canada. He has had it twice before, as they issue ti just for 6 months. That time we were engaged. Now I am just not sure if it is a good idea to apply for visitor visa.
As you may know, we are the couple that stays just 50 miles apart, a 1 hour drive, but unfortunately not in the same country :( I've been going there every weekend, but that's really harming my citizenship residence calculator :( But, knowing he is not too far ;) I just go ! My family is back home, so I am pretty much by myself here for the job.

Ahh, I see. That really sucks. I'm so sorry you're stuck like this! :(

My husband and I live pretty close together too, about an hour and a half or so (just outside Buffalo to Toronto), but I've been getting more and more hassle when crossing the border, so I try to do thatas little as possible these days. I'm terrified I'll get an officer whose having a bad day or something silly like that and things will get screwed up (for some reason, all the officers always seem to be irritated at the Peace Pridge!), so I don't see him as often as I used to. It's hard, but I figure it's just another of life's speed bumps we have to deal with.

Well, here's to hoping we all get some REALLY good news soon! I think we have EARNED it! ;D

Ohh...so you are in the same boat as us !!

Well yeah, let's hope we hear some good news soon...I was just checking my last posts, and it's funny how I predicted that we will have our by April or MAX May ! :P

Our wedding anniversary is coming up mid July as well, hoping we are together then...otherwise I'm off to the US for a week.

I read that completely wrong...I thought they were clearing out PR apps, not temp apps. ugh :(
