My wife just received a letter in the mail that states:

Have your sponsor pay the Right of Permanent Residence fee in Canada ~ This must be received at this office by: 04/26/2011

The date on the letter itself was 4/26/2011...and they are requesting we pay the RPRF but we paid that back in September/October...the $1040.

Do they do this often or? No phone number or anything on the letter...I may have to drive in to work where I have my printed receipt

And yes...we included a copy of the receipt in our package. Unless we didn't send the proper amount...now I am completely worried.

Sponsorship application: $75
Principal applicant: $475
Right of permanent residence: $490
Total: $1040

It looks like you've paid the proper amount. Was that the entire context of the letter? I know with the Initial Assessment they send a generic letter that includes information on sending in your fees. If you can, it might be worth faxing it to them, or sending them an e-mail indicating that you just received their letter, you have already paid the fee, and perhaps they could look again for the receipt?

Hello Thought I would jump into this thread!

Here is my story:
I've been with my husband going on 7 years! We've been married for 3. We have 2 small children together aged 3 and 5...a boy and a girl Husband is American, and I am a Canadian girl born n raised in the north! We met in a video game back in 2003...lol Yep..pre world of warcraft days hehe
I'm pretty sure we have a stright forward application. Both of our children were born in Canada, so no complications there and we sent a pretty solid package with 7 years worth of "proof"....i found it fun digging stuff up Anyway...wanted to join all you other December applicants! Things should start moving along for everyone here right away!


Here is my timeline:

Outland Application Sent November/30/2010
Received Mississauga December/2/2010
Sponsor approved January/17/2011
E-cas and AOR letter marked as Received in Buffalo January/26/2011 BUT didn't get AOR until April 9th!!!

Now we're waiting, waiting...waiiiting...waiiiiittttinnngggggg.

Guys, my e-cas got updated middle of the night i guess, and it now shows that my husband's file was received in Buffalo on Feb 2. Also, my husband can now login with his details too ! So glad to see some movement !!!

I just wanted to add my timelines.

Visa Office - Singapore
Application mail to CPC-M - Dec 29th 2010
Application received - Dec 31 2010
Sponsorship approval - Jan 26th 2011
File transferred to Singapore - Feb 3rd 2011.

ECAS status is still "we received application on Feb 3rd 2011".

Wonder what is happening in Singapore? Hope we get is soon and not get dragged 18 months as indicated on cic as the processing time at singapore.

I got PPR. Yahoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!

Although letter dated March 30, 2011. I think thats a typo as the envelope has 29th April on it and also the query I received from VO was on April 11th.

Anyways, Gally I hope you'll be getting that PPR request soon.

Also it's been 7 months since I've seen my wife and 2 year old boy so meeting them itself is like celebration. I don't drink so we'll probably go out for dinner.
