Thank you :-) lol

The fastest passport back from London is 18 days, longest nearly 8 weeks, we'd like to be the fastest rather than the slowest on this stage so wishing for 17 days lol

First, congrats to all the fellow December people who have received their PR!!!!

Just an update for my fellow December'ers - also posted in Buffalo thread

Just FYI -

We sent a case specific email to Buffalo last week, indicating that my husband's medicals will be expiring in Sept.

We asked if we should re-do his medicals, or if his application for PR was at the final stages should we not bother. Our hope is that we would get some glimmer of information if we are at the final stage, but also get information if we should start to look about a new medical.

A reply the same day, stating that we do not have to redo the medical and that have forwarded an email to Ottawa to extend the medical. I'm assuming this news is hopeful, at this point hope is all we got.

Also we got an updated CAIPS notes last week, and his medical information was entered and assessed. (Never got any notice of his medical received from ECAS).

At least a step in the right direction for you cindy, hopefully your PPR soon.

For those that applied for extended visitor visa, after you apply, did you get any correspondence or emails before you got accepted? Just curious, I applied 8 July but not heard anything yet, just that initial contact saying application had been received. Obviously have implied status till results are back and my passport is in London, just curious :-)

There is normally no correspondence until you receive the VR or a refusal.

Thanks, suppose it doesn't make much difference seeing that passport is in process of being visa'd - lol

How's the job hunting going Baloo?

Job hunting is going very well; I have the good fortune that I run a company in the UK, so I am being selective about work in Canada :)

Can i have a show of hands from december applicants, who havent heard anything from their outland VISA office since the documents were forwarded from Mississauga?

Well, we heard from our MP's assistant a few days ago. According to the inquiry she did on our behalf, two things stand out... *Background checks have not been initiated, and *Officer has not reviewed this file for a selection decision. I'm assuming this means I'm not even in process yet.

She also had less than kind things to say about the spreadsheet and this site in general. For example (directly quoted from email): "I question the expertise of anyone associated with the forum you shared with me..." and "I fail to see how desperate and annoyed people can possibly offer each other any support..." Essentially summing it all up with we're all just selfish whiners and need to get over ourselves.

This from someone who initially seemed incredibly helpful and interested in the December thru February debacle.

I'm so far beyond irritated now that I *almost* don't give a rat's hairy derriere what happens next. Ugh.

hey guys i just have a question.....when i went to the mp last week to find out about my application this is what they got reply from the embassy.

Here is the information:

" This refers to your inquiry concerning the above mentioned applicant.

Please be informed that this applicant will be convoked for an interview. We will contact
him when a date for the interview has been determined. "

Regards

do u guys have any idea how long it will take them to set a date for an interview? and what kind of question they will be asking him? so i was guessing this reply means that my file is in process right correct me if i'm wrong cause still my e-cas showing application received.....so please guys give me some answers. good luck too all of u and god bless.........

sorry to hear that amaranth,

I havent heard anything from the singapore visa office. Absolutely nothing, not even the file number.
The file has been sleeping at the singapore visa office since Feb 3rd 2011.

I wonder what is happening with the other singapore visa office applicants from this december group.

Hello-I too have heard nothing. *sigh*

At least we're not alone right!

A couple of things (1) who made them aware of the forum (2) Sometimes the comments on the forum although intended to support, vent and help can be quite damaging thats the reason I always said to take it easy we dont know who read these forums
