@ Pharoh - Thanks for the update from the November forum! I'd guess all of the offices slowed down during the holidays. Hopefully the extra time off has put them in a good mood.

@ Sparkle - You beat me to it. The Processing Times: Family Sponsorship page has been updated to say they are currently on November 29. So, hopefully they'll be done with November by the end of the week, and starting on December on Monday. Yay!

thx sparkle i was relieved cuz canada post said initially they lost my applic...i was crying so hard til it came up n was delivered...a wk late but main thing it got there. i paid 1 day delivery n it reached 1.5 wks late!!! And toronto is city next to mississauga.

Wow guy end of nov..well soon it will b everyone else's turn!!=)

I was happy but not sad again thinnking now i have to wait for ND embassy to process it...good grief...wait after wait. HARD!

ps) this is what happened to me initially. i initially applied Oct 12. Then on Nov 8 got letter frm CPC Missi saying one form needs signing. When i got it in mail the whole pkg back i flipped..worse post man left it on my door step outside apt door...i dont even kno how long it wa there..someone could have picked it up. It was too big to go in mail box but canada post is supposed to leave u a card saying pick it up not just leave mail like that. Anyways i couldnt believe canada post when they said they lost my pgk when i sent it back w/ the form signed...for 1 week they said it was lost..hardest week ever cuz it would take hubby 5 mths to get his police checks done again so 5 mths before we could reapply if it was lost..can u imagine. Also huby put some original stuff in pkg..silly him..well, its all ok now but i dont recommend canada post!!! They still r yet to call me to say they found it..actually i heard frm CPC missi when it was rec'd. Thankgod it was n sent abroadnow.

There are a few of us that are December 1st and 2nd, and none of us have seen anything on Ecas. I think missinghim is a special case because she had an IO to send it to directly (if I am not mistaken, sorry if I am) and her application had already began being processed back in Nov.
So people who actually sent their app for December are still waiting.

My application has gone to ND embassy before everyone elses only because my applic started processing in November. Then it finished processing in December once i submitted a specific form that was not signed initially. Everyone else should be ok. From the time CPC Missi rec'd ur applic...add the standard processing days to it. Dec 1 & 2nd ppl its still too early to hear word. I still cant see my status in ecas n mine has been approved n sent to delhi. ECAS is so slow. I heard that in many cases u get ur approval letter frm CPC Missi in mail before ecas updates.

Hey Pharoh,

Well, I am just dreaming of file transfer, at this point, I would be happy with approval from CPC-M. It's disheartening to see that the days it's taking to approve in step 1 just keep getting longer and longer and they haven't even reached the start of December applications yet. Oh well....I am sure by Monday something will be moving and now that the holidays are done, they should start getting back in gear and moving things quickly.

Nylalisa, i know what u mean..any movement w/ application, any new word (well if its good lol) is excitting!!!! =) It means we r closer.

Now that mine has gone to ND embassy- i have no clue when i'll hear aything new now. Do u kno what happens after it leaves Canada? Is communication good?

Huby's going to redo medical next wk before they ask for new ones since expiry is in march. We got med done far far too early....When we werent even ready to apply. Silly! What a waste of time.

hey guys i need ur help..........actually when i send my application canada post confrimed me that my application was recieved by cpc-m on november 29 but guess what i called the cpc-m now and i asked them wheather my file is being reviewed cause they are working on november 29 applications.........the agent told me yes ur application is in process and ur application was recieved on december 02, what the f--k is wrong with canada post they lied to me....can u guys tell me since my application is in process how long it will take for them to send me a letter? pls let me know i am so pissed :-\ thanks guys......

I know it's been a long wait. But, I am not sure why to be upset now... Whether it was November 29th or December 2nd (a matter of 3 days), your file is in process now they confirmed. That's the most important thing I think. It's not like it's missing for weeks and you have been waiting to find out where it was. It should only be a matter of a week or 2 now before you get first step approval. I talked to my friend and contrary to what people say about the processing time (46 days) from the time they open your application, he told me that is the total time from when you send it. And if you look back at other months threads this is confirmed that way to. About a month or a little more from when you send it end, people get first step approval.

So, all I can say is try to stay calm, be thankful it's in process and just let it ride. We are all in the same boat.

true what ur saying....i was pissed because the canada post said it was delivered nov 29........but im happy in the other side they r processing it...............thanks for ur reply.......

Definetely keep us updated. I am ryt behind you, my app shows it was received 2nd December, there was a few others before me and you were the first or last of November... so we will be hearing something soon.
