Hi everybody, my husband got his AOR today from Pretoria dated October 5. As well, surprisingly, he got a 2nd letter at the same time requesting 1 extra document. The second letter is notifying him to go and see the same doctor he saw for his medicals and hand him a sealed letter that the doctor will open, read and give him further instructions. I am so curious as to what that could be, as well they said he has 30 days to do that. So, my husband did not sign that green form that you sign in front of the dmp confirming that hes the one who conducted the medicals, so there was a missing signature on that form could that be what it is...? Someone help...
Oh and the AOR, did not say the interview was waived it just said they will notify him ahead of time if an interview is needed. So dont know if thats a generic statement that everybody gets or what...

I was so excited to receive something that I opened the envelope! ;D It was a Furtherance Request. Lucky me I have antibodies that mimic other more serious illnesses and I always get false positive results. So, they wanted me to have the test run again within 30 days. I threw out the envelope and just sent the letter and form to the DMP and he set up the test again. Of course it came back false positive again and he emailed the results to Ottawa.

I don't think there is anyone in London. It seems to have stopped at 'in process' looking at the other London applicants.

Dave2222 and irishapplicant, I'd wondered what happened to you guys, I'd hoped you had forgotten to update us and had landed and everything, oh never mind. Come on London!

Have your sponsor pay the Right of Permanent Residence Fee of $ 490 on your behalf in Canada and forward the receipt to the Case Processing Centre in Mississauga

Yaya, it sounds like you are nearly done, but once you have paid the fee they are asking for, it could take another 4-5 week for the payment to be processed.

Hi, There was a cover letter for me advising me to take the envelope to the doctor. Inside the envelope was the Furtherance Request form which looked like a check list with different medical questions, requests on it. The test I had to retake was ticked. There was a cover letter telling the doctor it was a Furtherance Request. Didn't seem confidential to me as I would have found out once the doctor opened it and called me. Does your husband have any pre-existing conditions? I have High Blood Pressure and when the doctor did my medical it was up and over the maximum reading accepted by CIC so I ended up on a 24 hours blood pressure monitor and had to see my own doctor. Once the doctor was satisfied that my HBP was under control he advised CIC and they accepted that. I knew all of the results of my physical and blood tests before they were sent so I imagine your hudband also knew so there may be something they want to double check. They don't turn down spouses because of medical reasons but as part of their "due diligence", if there is something they just want to make sure that they do not ignore it. Hope this helps. No need to stress over it. It just causes another delay.

Thanks for the info Nelly72, he does not know of any pre-existing conditions, the doctor had told him everything was okay. The only thing I know was the Appendix A form he did not sign and it was returned to me from the DMO, so considering CIC is big on signatures maybe thats what it is..will keep you posted!

My wife called MICC recently and we were informed that we should call back at the end of the month. Apparently they are taking about 3 weeks to process the Undertaking. I think once they are done I get the CSQ...sound right to anyone else?

hubby's paperwork in Jamaica and I hope they can process it fast!! We sure miss him BAD!

A nice girl from another thread sent it to me recently but I haven't used it myself yet. I think you can get it online somewhere as well. I believe they don't take phone calls.

Were you previously contacted b y Blo? How do you know you are in process there? Whatever they sent you would be aor and they will send (within a few days ) a letter requesting antyt9ng that they need, if they need it... otherwise you just wait...

Just so everyone knows, I won't be able to formally update the table until November 1 (I am in Canada until then and I left my code for the table at home... ) but I will do the best I can in the meantime if anyone has updates. Hopefully!
