We had to download and print a statutory declaration form from VIC roads and write that he has no license so no traffic offences and then got it signed by a police officer. Pretty painless, so hopefully they just look at it and then send us PPR. We are worried though that it now goes to the back of the pile or something :s

Hi everyone

We have some updates on our application and I have a few questions if anyone knows.

Sponsor and applicant - application received May 4, 2014
Sponsor - decision made July 9, 2014

Has anyone else seen the update. "Decision Made" on their online status for sponsorship and it has been approved when there is no mention my husbands portion of the application has been forwarded. He also has not received an email from cic about his portion?

We are waiting on the letter to me but I'm worried that my hubby hasn't received an email and that my online status doesn't say the application has been forwarded to Sydney???

Any comments would be appreciated.

Hi, I'm not sure if it helps my fiance (the sponsor) got two emails, one saying the application had been received, and the other saying it had been approved. I (the applicant) didn't receive any email until I got an email from Sydney visa office 17 days after he was approved, saying they'd received my application. So there might be some time between the sponsor being approved and hearing from the visa office. I never logged in with the sponsor information to see "Decision made" or not in the online status.

Have you been looking at the May 2014 Outland spreadsheet?

I've seen elsewhere on this forum that sometimes the sponsor gets a letter instead of an email letting them know their sponsorship application was approved, and I think some people don't get anything until they get the email from the visa office.

Your application is in the final stage of processing. In order to issue Permanent Residence visas, you are asked to complete and return Appendix ‘B’(attached) and the following instructions as indicated for yourself and each family member included on your application:

Ø Submit a photocopy/PDF Scan of ALL pages of your current, valid passport(s) (these copies do not need to be notarized/certified). Each individual must hold their own passport (including children); Diplomatic/Official passports are not acceptable.

Ø Submit identification photographs

Please can someone advise me what Submit Identification photographs means?? How many what size? Very ambiguous statement.

Secondly, could someone confirm that Appendix B is requesting my actual passport AND they are ALSO asking for photocopies of my passport?

Finally, any ideas how long this part takes?

They have only given me 10 days to get the documents to Sydney and I am having a hard time getting any response from their email system.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Hi guys... I have travel history to New Zealand.It's clearly mentioned on their website that CIC won't accept PCC issued by Ministry of Justice New Zealand. We have to fill consent form and they will contact New Zealand authorities on our behalf. So I did that. Yesterday I came to know by NOTES and MP that everything is OK on my file they are just waiting for PCC from New Zealand for last 2-3 months. While I didn't even have any speed ticket there.

So I came to know by searching on this forum that there are some people on this forum who did not fill any consent form, only sent PCC issued by Ministry of Justice ( it's not acceptable by CIC according their website ) got their visa without any problem.

Do you guys have any idea about this whole process?

I'm completing the IMM0008 Generic App for Canada and I am unsure how everyone has filled out question 10 & 12.

10: Current country of residence: Given I have been living in Canada since 2011, but am Australian Citizen and doing an outland application, do I need to put Australia as my place of residence or Canada?
12: Previous country of residence: If I answer Australia in Q10, I need to put Canada as my previous country of residence and then a "FROM" and "TO" date - what have people put for the "TO" date if they are going to continue to reside in Canada until PR comes through?

Any help would be great!

Just put your Canadian address. That's what I did. Be 100 percent honest, there's no reason not to be.

We received our AOR a day after you, and my SA / that weird letter about a week after you guys so we are seriously in the same boat!!! Fingers crossed processing times are fast for both of us. I'm going back to Canada September 10 and leaving hubby here hoping we are reunited before Christmas!!!! I'm still so dissipointed our file is not getting done in Sydney!

Hi Ganubie - just an update for you... My partner received an email today saying that his application was received on 04/29/14, and listed Sydney as the VO. I’m assuming that the original letter we received stating our application was sent to Ottawa was incorrect, but I still have not received a response to my email that I sent to CPC-Ottawa on 25 June. Maybe you will be receiving a similar AOR soon?
