Just collected my COPR letter from the Sydney VO... Woot woot!

Fingers crossed for everyone else who is waiting. Sydney is churning through applications at the moment at a rate of knots, I'm sure it won't be long now!

Big congratulations to you! Hope you had a celebration

Good time for your COPR. Snow just comming !!!

I'm received email from sydney yesterday before I thought it's a PPR but is NOT!! They are ask for additional doc with I have to contact Australian authority which is gonna take at least 1-2 months to obtain.

Look like I'm will be the longest one who lodge through Sydney. :( :( :(

Oh no, what did they ask for? I'll be in Sydney until March. If there is anything I can do locally to help let me know.

I'll celebrate when the wife arrives in Sydney for a couple of weeks over Christmas... Then I'll celebrate Rob Ford style when I arrive in Canada early next year :D

Hi,
I am a bit confused about what should e done,
Situation is my wife is pregnant and she is going back to Canada for the delivery, and i have to change my address as well,
should I inform Immigration about it?
I think if I inform them it might take a bit longer then normal to get the VISA

By law, you must notify CIC about any changes in your family circumstances. If you don't inform them you are leaving yourselves open to allegations of misrepresentation. Changes of address won't delay things. If you didn't inform CIC in your application that your wife is pregnant that *might* delay things a little but it might not either.

I will deny any knowledge of the alleged event until the video becomes available... and then I will blame it on being in a drunken stupor.

I like the way things work in Canada :-)

Hey all, have a quick question for all.
So we had an interview on Oct 15, wife went down to Sydney for it and I was on the phone. At the end of a long interview they were satisfied but they needed one more document (some kind of vic road check... victoria road check (since she's in melbourne). We were told they will ask for the passport withing 6 weeks, let's say it's been about 4 weeks now.

Should I be sending an inquiry for application status and if so, how would I go about doing that?

Hi mlallany.

I would wait until the six weeks has passed before making contact.

Have you sent the Victoria roads document to the Sydney VO?

What city you will move to? Toronto?

BTW Thanks a lot for your offer, you are generous. Sydney office they ask for proof of legal status in Australia. But I never keep those paper so I have to order new paper which will take a lot of time. :)

Before or After New Year?

I tell you one thing. You gonna miss a new year celebration in Sydney.

In my opinion new year celebration in Canada is lame cold and not much fun outside!!

hey Paddy, yes we have, the wife filed for it the next day she returned back to Melbourne and received the week after, per the tracking they received it on Oct 18 I believe. Hence why it's been about 4 weeks.
Thanks 8)

Hi Everyone,

Arrived in Canada on 28th October with no updates from immigration. A week later received an email advising I am in the final stages and to complete Appendix B. I emailed in the day after and received my COPR today a little over a week later all the way from Australia. When they finally got around to processing it, it was really fast. Just want to thank everyone here for the advice and support and hope everyone else moves through soon. Be patient if you need to and best of luck to everyone here. ;)

Thanks
