They ask for Your passport, Appendix B and 4 more photos if your application has been longer than 6months, because they require max 6months old photo. Hope I didn't confuse you. So for me, I didn't want to send my passport since I am travelling. So I emailed Sydney immigration and they informed me that since my passport is Australian, I can photocopy every page of my passport and send that instead. Appendix B, is very easy to fill out, takes 2seconds. They send you a PDF attachment of the letter and requirements.

I posted mine last week through UPS, Sydney immigration haven't replied or responded. I'm hoping I will hear some good news this week or next week. Eagerly waiting.

We emailed the scanned copy of my husband's passport and mailed the photos and appendix B, however, you can complete the appendix B and send a scanned copy of that back too. We had to mail the pics, so figured the appendix B could go that way too. We sent ours by express post and it got there the same day the couriers quoted it would for half the price. We rec'd the COPR approx. 3 weeks after the pics and appendix B arrived in Sydney

I did both. I tried to scan n email the passport but I think my file was too big, so I got an email saying delivery failed. So I posted the photocopied passport, Appendix B and 4photos.

I was and am in a rush and UPS had it delivered in three days. I'm not sure how long registered post takes but I'm sure its much cheaper. UPS cost $92

I got a letter from the Canadian immigration for an interview. I rang CIC and they said my PR was approved in Sydney and the file was transferred to Calgary and they sent a letter out requesting an interview and more photos.

No, they didn't send an email. E-cas changed to decision made, assumably the day they sent the COPR to us. We received the COPR in the mail approx. 10 days later. Then we went down to Las Vegas for a little trip and my hubby "landed" in Calgary on our return.

Ecas has said decision made for almost two weeks but I haven't received a passport request as yet.

Not a biggie... just wondering!

Mine came after. But then again I stopped hecking ECAS. I received the passport request and then I checked ECAS and it had, decision made

Hi All,
I am a first time poster(not sure if that is the right term).

My husband and I have just made the decison to move to Canada, I am Canadian he is Australian and we have been living in Australia for about 8 years. We have been married for 7 years and have two small children. We are quite excited about the move but very dettered by the waiting period, 10 months is a long time!!! My questions are:
Am I sponsoring my 2 children as well? (the older has her Canadian Citisenship card the younger hasn't got hers yet but both lived in Canada with me for 6 months during my maternity leave)

In the section that asks about your plans once you move to Canada we haven't got jobs or school, or a mortgage as I couldn't get a job and then tell thme I can't start for 10 months??? Is it okay to just say we have extensive family there we can stay with whilst we get jobs, a house etc...

Is there any realy important things I should know when filing out the application?

So happy to have found this forum as I know what a headache it was when I moved to Australia and with through this process here.

Good question! I'm surprised we haven't heard anything yet. Its been a month.

Maybe our cases have been put on a shelf somewhere and forgotten - again!
It doesn't help that my husband has lost our mailbox key, so I can't even check the mailbox to see if they've sent something snail mail.

They usually email you. However, you can never be too sure. They seem to be doing odd things. Are the rules and regulations changing? I had a look at the spreadsheet and I seem to be the only one who's been asked for an interview. Aahahahahhaha I'm not complaining, it could be much worse. I changed my interview date to next week. So hopefully, this time next week, I'll be a PR.
