wish I had known that I could email the passport copies instead of couriering it...oh well!
what happens when we get the COPR? My husband is here (in Mississauga) on a visitor visa with me. I guess we will have to cross at Buffalo to officially "land"??

yep - you go to the border, with passport + COPR + your address, and that's it. You exit Canada, and re-enter, and ask to land as a PR. It takes 10 min to check papers, make it sign, and that's it!
the PR card is mailed later on to the address you provide at the border.

Actually it was weird, we checked ecas at 430pm and it still said application received. but then 2 hours later I got an email requesting the passport copies. Ecas never changed to in process at all

I keep checking ecas thinking it will change soon, but now a fair few of us are getting PPR and the status is remaining at received! Congrats to you on PPR, I am next on the sheet so fingers crossed lol. Also crossed for the people above me!

my fiance's PR card came in the mail yesterday :-) process completed! best of luck to everyone else for a smooth process

Hi Guys, this is my first post here.

Congrats figgy! Looking at your timeline (July 2012 to Feb 2013 = 7 months) gives me hope that August / September applicants like myself will be getting our PR's soon (hopefully!).

That was fast for the PR card! Some others in the PR Card tracking thread have waited for 3 months and still not received it.
I landed a couple of weeks after you, so hopefully I will get the card in the mail soon. Not that it really matters I guess, but it would be good to get it and close the door on the whole process.

Next stop - Citizenship.

Hi Marco,
I know! The expense of sending just the pics and don't even know why they needed new ones.(Actually emailed them asking whether I can scan the photos as well :D which of course could'nt.(They actually replied lol ) Another thing, just found my e-cas changed from app.received to in process when I checked last friday. It states they began processing my file on Feb.1st , I got PPR on Feb. 5th.

Hi Freezing_aussie-thanks! I just entered my dates on the spreadsheet.

Hope more wil be getting good news soon!

HI Yannie.

LOL. I had to giggle with the scanned photos comment as well. UPS sent us an email indicating the package was delivered already. I think the letter said 5-10 working days to process. So its just a waiting game now.

Good luck

Hi Yannie -- glad you got your PR, and glad to see they are actually updating ecas to reflect this.

Also, hope you don't mind, I sort of moved your entry in the spreadsheet up along with the other March 2012 PR application filings so that it was properly sorted by date!

Hi Robhi,

Not at all, thank you for doing that. I'm not very good with it, gotta admit :-[. I am still waiting for the COPR as I did not provide a return courier so it will arrive via snail mail. Hope yours will come up soon as I think they are now starting to get to August applicants.

We received our COPR in the mail today and will be crossing the border to "land" this weekend. I have updated the spreadsheet. we are so excited, hopefully there will be some more positive updates from the rest of august soon!!

Congrats c12345! freezing_aussie and I applied around the same time as you, so I hope this means great news for us is just around the corner.

I just checked eCAS, and finally, a change! Now stating in process since March 8. Yes! I'll update the spreadsheet now.

Robhi and BCRain, you should see a change soon, too. I have my fingers crossed for all of us! :)

This is great news! Keeping my fingers crossed freezing_aussie!

Question: Should I be concerned that I still haven't received Stage 2 Approval? I see people who submitted long after me that have gotten it. Also, does the notification of stage 2 approval usually come by email (like Stage 1 Approval)?
