I'm not very good at using this... so that quote may not have worked so well but if it did..thanks for responding. I do have Decision Made for me the sponsor and for the Application Received when I click the link all it comes up with is a messaging stating that they have received his application on this date. i scrolled to the very bottom and it has nothing about medical. hmm maybe they just haven't started my file???

Sounds like they acknowledged receipt at Sydney but didn't open it yet. I wouldn't be too worried -- just in case of a dispute though, it's good to have copies of the stuff you sent them. I am a little annoyed that the August / September 2012 applicants are being delayed more than the July 2012 applicants -- how can one month make such a large difference in application processing times? Could it be the Christmas / holiday rush that is resulting in delays?

Hi, I'm a new poster to this forum but have been following for a while. My question is..I applied in late August for sponsorship for my husband. I got an email on September 7th saying they received my file and then on October 17 I was approved for sponsorship. Second stage says my application has been received. Now I see alot of people say ecas changes to medicals received. Is this for those who sent their medicals after submitting their applications? We sent everything altogether and I wasn't sure if they received them? i guess im waiting for an inprocess before i can really start to get worried??

Hi! You will drive yourself crazy if you start worrying now. We applied in March and only went in process on Jan 15. We sent a complete application and once we got AOR from Sydney, ecas said application received and medicals received. We didn't hear a word from July to Jan. I know it's not what you want to hear, but unfortunately they seem to get to it when they get to it. Remember to breathe and know that you're closer to the visa now than before you applied. :)

Hi Canstralian/Oznadian & all ,

I finally got my PPR ! It came 2 days after I received the CAIPS notes that I requested. My status on E-cas never changed from Application received and Medicals received. This is the only update I got from Sydney VO since my AOR. I am just so elated right now! ;D ;D :)

Thanks for the information everyone! It helps to know how other people are dealing with this wait.

Since your status has been changed to in process have you been asked for your passport? Have you received any information?

Thanks very much everyone!

Alright, I'll stop stressing then :). On a different note, does anyone know how to update their signature and the information / stats on the left
<--- of their profile. I haven't been able to figure it out for the life of me! :P.

Yay Yannie!! I'm so pleased for you! We've gone to "in process," but I would way rather have just got the passport request. Hopefully ours won't be too far behind.

Robhi,

You have to make 10 posts to be able to update your profile on the left.

Hi Yannie,

I looked into the "CAIPS" thing that you mentioned in your message. Does this report provide any more detail than what is available on ecas? Would you recommend obtaining one? It seems like a simple enough form to fill out but I am just wondering if it is any more detailed than what ecas provides?

Thanks,
Robhi

Sending our application tomorrow! hoping for a smooth ride :)

Good luck to all!

Canstralian/Oznadian,

From the CAIPS/GCMS notes that I got, it seems they only got to start working on my file again on the 6th of Dec 2012! So if you went into "in process" in January, I think yours is forthcoming. I did not find any adverse note which could have caused delays on my application so I do not know what happened along the way.I am happy nonetheless that the waiting and stress would soon be over.I wish it would soon be for you too,Good luck!

Hi Robhi,
Yes the CAIPS/GCMS notes shows every detail..letters,inquiries and additional documents when received by them.It also shows updates they did on your file. I only requested the said notes because my application dragged from almost a year since I filed-7 months since I got my AOR from Sydney VO.When did you submit yours? If it is just a recent application, I would say wait a while as it will take a month or more for the notes to come back and if yours is still within the reasonable time frame, there wont be much details you find in there.Good luck on your application.
