I just received an email from Sydney office giving me a new UCI number and same old F00 number. The email said " This confirms that your application for permanent residence in Canada has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2012/10/31. "

The New UCI number when i check just says application received while the old UCI number which my partner received who is sponsoring me says decision made. i assume that relates to sponsorship approval and this new UCI is my PR application in Sydney office.

if i am not wrong this is what we called S2 AOR ?

I have a question regarding the proof of relationship for spousal sponsorship.

I am applying outland but am in canada currently with my common-law partner.

The check sheet states that we need to submit a minimum of two notarized statutory declarations from friends or family to prove our relationship is known to others.

i have 15 declarations coming from australia and i also have roughly 10 from canada, i have 2 questions.

1. can i just have the 2 stat declarations notarized and then have the rest just as letters of reference to proof our relationship? or do i need to make sure all the letters are notarized?

2. in Canada which form do i use for my statutory declarations to be notarized? i can only seem to find one called "statutory declaration as to truth of document"

Hi there! This is my first post here. I am a Canadian Citizen living in australia, and my common-law partner (an Aussie) and I submitted our application in mid-December. According to Australia Post's tracking service, the application arrived at the Case Procesing Centre on December 18th, but we have not heard a word from them yet. I realise that the website is saying that it is taking around 50 days to process, and we did have the holidays in there...but we are still getting nervous that they did not receive it at all. When I check online nothing pops up. Should I be nervous? Do you get a confiurmation of receipt before getting approval to sponsor?
When we started this whole process the people in Sydney said that processing was running about 3-5 months in their office, obviously longer than that if there were issues with the application....but now the website is saying 9 months! Eeek! We have just arranged for a lease to commence in March at home in Canada.
Anyhoo, I guess that I am just asking if I should be nervous that we have not heard a word from them, and requesting that we start being tracked on the spread sheet. What a great idea by the way!

Dont worry about it. You wont receive any notification till the designated 50 days approximately. We received first notification and approval in the same email. Nothing before that. So just hold tight and you will hear from them soon enough.

Finally received a reply to an email I sent a month ago. It didn't say much, but at least I know our application is there.

I just paid the second half of my immigration fees ($490)..... do I send a copy of the receipt to the Mississauga office where my application first went or the Sydney office where my application is now?

What date was your stage one approved? I will add the details and fill in the gaps.

Torontobound2012 - I have added you as well. As you can see from earlier applications most are all done within 4-6 months. The website says 9 months as that is how long it takes for them to process 80% of applications, but this includes some complicated cases so if you are straight forward - no dependents, no criminal record, lots of evidence of relationship etc then you should be within the 4-6 months too.

I received notification that I was approved to sponsor on October 22nd 2012 (I guess that is stage 1)
Application Received in Sydney: November 12, 2012

Have just emailed my passport copies and Appendix B, it wasn't to painful fortunately. I set up a UPS account and opted for delivery via courier, i was unsure how to prepay however so i am not sure if it will work or not, worth a shot. has anybody had experience with the courier delivery?
