soooo.. today I got a letter from the embassy in Berlin requesting my passport... already? Does anyone know if this is good news?
Do they just request it just so I can't get into Canada to stay there illegally? Or are they actually close to making a decision? Nervous again! :

Getting a passport request is usually a very good thing, so maybe you just got really really lucky?

good for you, it sounds like they want the passport so that they can glue the visa into it...relax, they wouldnt ask for the passsport otherwise.

my application was received Okt 1st,
they started to process it Okt 21st
returned for missing info Nov 4th
received it again Dec 18th
made a decision Jan 4th (about the sponsorship)
started procession my application in Berlin Jan 11th

And then I go the letter with the passport request just this week

Isn't London usually faster than Berlin? I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you =)

Not really. It's been In Process since December 8th and that's the last update I got.

That's very fast processing by Berlin. Seems like you were in luck!
According to the CIC himepage, Berlin is supposed to take about twice the time of London.
