awwww... thanks Love_Young! It just gets harder and harder eh? As everyone else finishes and you're still waiting. At least, as you say, it's a decision you made to go under the longer timeline rather than just sitting around not knowing why everyone else is finishing faster than you.

Your time will come... in meanwhile enjoy Canada and get everything lined up for when you can finally settle in, get a job, etc, etc.

Cause in the end it's totally worth the wait right??

Hey Everyone,

We got our passport request today from Bogota, the letter was dated Feb 9th, 2011.

Keep your fingers crossed for us,

Still no information about the final decision from Sao Paulo...gahhhhhh!! I am running out of things to do so I don't think about it. According to the woman I spoke with in Sao Paulo when I called, it has been completed and sitting on the IO's desk for 3 weeks now. Should I be worried?? My husband's birthday is next week and I want to know whether I am travelling or he is :)

congratulations to all received their PR visas and landed in canada..your stories and patience gives encouragement to me who filed in january...I also pray all those waiting to hear good news will receive it soon.....good luck

Just wondering, i noticed a lot of you have interview waived when they request your passport.

Is this factual or possibly there still may be an interview? We received our passport request last week, but it didnt say anything like interview waived... just said your application is processing and as a final step please supply your original passport within 60 days.

Thanks for the input,

I believe in Bogota they request passport as a final step..have you paid your RPRF or did they request that as well?

We paid everything back in July just before we submitted the application to insure a speedy process.

Then it looks like you are almost there! :) Fingers crossed!

It just depends on the visa office (possibly even the officers involved). We were told the interview was waived when we were asked for additional documents and didn't receive the passport request until months later. It just varies... but not being told your interview has been waived certainly does not mean that they will request one... just means they didn't communicate the waiver to you.

Good luck

We got the Visa!! I am so happy he will be here by our anniversary!! God is great!!

Congratulations Cdagal! What a relief, eh?!?

We got the call yesterday that the passport is ready to collect so DHL is getting it today and should be in my little hands by Thursday at latest... I've heard so many horror stories that I don't think I'll fully believe it's over until I see the stamp and the correct date etc with my own two eyes...

CONGRATS again to you waitingintz. You must be so excited.
Don't worry I think we all feel like we are living in a dream state when everything works out well with immigration. I mean I used to jump in down just for approved extensions. Can you imagine if I am approved for AIP? Ahhh....

I have heard of some after landing at their local office practically running out because they were afraid of immigration changing their mind and then when they got home it started to sink in. Lol.

Any one have exp:
I have sent my PP to Abudhabi for Visa as I got the letter on 9th Feb 2011,
How much time they will take.
