@ silverbee - I know!!! And I know we *should* be happy for those it's going quickly for but just makes me more anxious about our application. I haven't heard anything in over a month and it's getting pretty nerve wracking. I received a generic AOR over a month ago, have been in process for over two months and now nothing... no additional document request, no interview waive or date....

I know I'm not "behind schedule" based on the percentages but still feels pretty crummy to be taking longer than everyone else and not knowing if there's a problem :(

Yeah, then there are those who have been approved since Aug 22nd and heard nothing besides the file has been transfered to Bogota. Seems crazy,

could you possibly share your timeline Shikha? Was your file sent to New Delhi? Thanks much in advance!

LANDED! We went to Buffalo last night (we could land at anytime since NYC had issued the visa). No problems at the border. It took a total of 15mins because he had nothing to land with as we had brought his things here previously.

This morning, however, when speaking with a friend at work he mentioned that you can land IN TORONTO :S He landed several years ago but for those around Toronto you may want to investigate. He said it was by Yonge and St Clair, but since this was a few years ago perhaps the rules have changed.

Thank you for all your support through this process and good luck to everyone waiting on completion!!

I just got my PPR email, woot woot!

I need to put things together to mail it out tonight!

Question, are the photos to include passport photo size? I don't think I have any left from the process earlier.

i haven't mailed mine yet because NO they are not passport sized they are the same stupid size for the application/in my region specific guide. You'd think they could use the a standard size photo for everything!

Woo hoo! Congrats!

They don't have hubby's e-mail so we're waiting to get the actual letter in the mail (we're hoping it arrives Monday).

If you don't mind me asking, how many days did they give you to send in the passport (hubby will need his next weekend so we won't be able to send it in until Nov. 16th), and how many non-passport size photos did you need to include with it? (Thanks!)

The email said within 30days. And to include 3 photos.
I hope yours comes Monday :)

Hello all

Received a letter from the visa office saying our application has been provisionally accepted!!! Very exciting! Interview is waived but they are waiting for one police check (SA is being impossible) AND they say they need my proof of Canadian Citizenship.

BUT I submitted my passport copy with the application so not sure where I went wrong... does it need to be notarized??? Please if anyone has a suggestion of what to send them let me know. Really want to get everything to them as soon as possible. Please post any ideas!

update: was scanning my passport to get ready to re-send it and realized that I hadn't signed it... maybe that was the problem??

I walked across the border at Sumas, WA a week ago with my brother and the Canadian border guard gave him a real hard time about him not having signed it.

I wouldn't be surprised if that is what is missing for it to be considered 'official' proof of citizenship.

Thanks, can_usa_97 -- we got it today, as expected!

Do you (or does anyone) know if it's okay that hubby submit his name/height/eye color on a separate sheet of paper? I'm assuming since your (can_usa_97) passport request was e-mailed, this is what they instructed you to do, but since hubby's was snail mailed to him, the back page of the passport submission instructions has an area where hubby is to write this info -- but I'd rather keep this part of the instructions in tact and just submit the info on a separate sheet of paper. Can anyone confirm that this is ok?

Thanks again, all! ALMOST done! (Phew!)
