Bonacker,

I am ever so sorry to hear about your delay. Something similar happened to my brother-in-law when he emigrated from the UK to Canada last year (common-law application via CHC-London).

He did not send all the bits together like most of us have. He received a request from CHC-London for his police certificates. He sent his fingerprints to the RCMP as he lived in Canada for a few years and needed a cert from them. A month and a half later when he still hadn't received the cert back from the RCMP he contacted them for them to tell him they never received his fingerprints! He confirmed the address with them and also consulted his tracking number where it had a signature for the address they confirmed on the phone! They blatantly lost them. He had to pay to get his fingerprints done again and wait another month for the certificate to find it's way back to him. This delayed his processing by nearly 3 months!

I hope the FBI can process your fingerprints a lot quicker this time around! Fingers crossed for you... xxx

Thanks, FStone!

The good news is that someone nice actually phoned me from the NY visa office (!!). The bad news is that even tho I kept a Xerox of the original FBI certificate -- and the receipt, and the letter from Mississauga stating that my application was complete -- nothing but a new FBI clearance will do.

Ah, well. As a friend said, "Hey, at least you're not having to walk barefoot through a desert to immigrate. At least you're not floating on a boat in the Indian Ocean." Which is totally true. It's frustrating, but it's hardly the worst thing to ever happen, so I am over freakin' out about it.

I cannot believe they actually phoned! Shock horror shock!!!! I like your way of thinking!

We are hoping to leave in 7 weeks so are starting to PANIC big time about this bloody PR!!!! At least we can drop off PP in person if we get PPR before the 23rd of June and get it back in time to leave! But that still doesn't help as need to book a flight, sort out plans, apply for jobs, etc...!!!!

I HATE THIS!!!!! I am glued to my e-mail account refreshing the page every 10 mins waiting for an e-mail for PPR and am gutted that it's already Friday afternoon and now there won't be anymore processing until Monday! I could seriously cry.

Like you said, it could be much worse, however we have some commitments the second week of July and would hate to have to waste all that money to go and have to come back and then pay for another flight to come back once we get PPR. We already don't have much money as it is.

::)......waiting, waiting, waiting..... sigh

Another week gone, past 6pm here in the UK. Another miserable weekend not knowing! I am absolutely gutted.

Hey all,

Landed today at YYZ...spent about an 30 min in immigration and customs...everything went smoothly
Thanks to everyone for their advice and help

Thank you LandC :)

My application was stayed in CPC-M for long time.I applied on Jan 13th, and first letter came in early March.
(E-cas was very dtrange that time...)
But after that, things are getting very fast than I thought.

I will keep update my case..!]

L and C,

Fingers crossed we may hear before the weekend? I don't know if I could bear another weekend!
We must be in a queue for background checks! How annoying!!!!

I received my passoport with PR visa today!!!

Congrats Usagi!
So whats next for you? ordering SIN number?

We sent in additional info on 12/4 and then again on 17/5. We weren't sure if they had received it because the second lot we faxed over. I did e-mail them on Friday and got a response back today.

'Thank you for your correspondence.

Please be advised that your ACPO submissions have been received and are currently under review. You will be contacted when we are in a position to proceed.

We appreciate your continued patience.

Yours sincerely'

Hopefully my e-mail has given them a bit of a nudge as London has been processing our file from 10/3!
