Hi everyone,

I sent our application to Mississauga on Jan.26th. Still waiting to hear anything and checking Ecas daily :
I'm wondering if the Haiti situation is maybe having some influence to delay processing of sponsorship....it seems that applications for sponsorship of family members in Haiti can write "haiti" on the outside of the envelope and receive prioriy processing (and rightfully so). I just hope they will get to my application within the next week.

Umm aisha - Sorry to hear your application has been returned, but I'm sure if you include the info and send it straight back it'll go through quickly for you! Good luck.

helixgrl, I'm sure it'll pop up soon for you. It's only just been three weeks since you sent it? Do you know what day it arrived? I think it's entirely possible that the Haiti applications could cause a minor delay but doubt that it would be significant, from what I read they were setting up a seperate team to deal with the Haitian applications. I bet yours will be on e-cas very soon, good luck! Take care, and let us know how you get on.

They were pleased to advise that my hubby has met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. The Applicant for Permanent Resident has been forwarded to the Visa Office in WARSAW for further processing.

I am so happy. finally managed to know what was in the letter .

Good luck to the-others..now the real waiting beings....

Sorry to hear about you aisha, but at least you know what was wrong . and it will be quick when you send whats needed .

Helixgrl. dont worry, u always have to check the processing time and have patience, the haiti situation wont hinder it, normally when u send yr application to cpc-m is takes averagly 5 week so i guess u r within the timeline or frame. what i know is cpc-m checks the application as soon as they recieved it and then they will put it aside, they wont process it when they recvd it but will check it out, if u get yr application back within 2 weeks of sending it , then it means something is wrong, need more info n in ref someone didnt send info on kid or child, so yes they look at it and when the 3,4,5 weeks is up process it and update it, also the officer processing it is not the one to update it so the officer process it might approve it today but the clerk who update it on ecas updates it on Friday, its all a process so watch the timeline and go by it.

I am sure u will see something very soon and normally cpc-m or ecas updates on tuesdays for cpc-m. in terms of sponsorship approval.

Hey guys any idea on what going on, i sent my application January 6th to CPC-M and they got it on the 7th when i tracked the package, its Feb 19th today and i havent heard from them i dont see anything on E-CAS and when i call the Center they say theres nothing in the system for me, now when i go look at the time line they say there processing application recived upto JAN 19, it was UPTO JAN 7th yday so it means they have moved on, what do i have to do?? is it normal it takes that long??????, my application is sent to CPC-M to sponsor my wife from india
any ideas guys?????

I just called back the call center and they just told me there no records of file, has anyone else sent thre application between JAN 4-7th and havent recived a answer yet??

theres a person who sent application inland in middle of december and didnt hear anything yet, so dont worry and no sad faces. just need to wait

I think if you're waiting to hear from Vegerville it will be a while yet - I think inland applications take longer? Not too sure but just thought I'd try to reassure you a bit! Take care, hope you hear soonish!!

Hey guys, looks like for Mississauga, they have updated their website and are now processing applications upto January 19th.
Mine was received on the 21st, so looks like it won't be processed for another week or so.

Gluck to everyone, and I also do believe that Vegreville takes a bit longer. But you can always check the CIC website for the approx.
amount of time.

Use the receipt number from the receipt you printed out when you paid your fees (number will start with the letter R) and put your details in where it asks. Nothing will show up until they start processing it/or they've made a decision and it's entered on the system. Sometimes it takes a few days between them processing it and anything showing up. Good luck!!
