Thats really great as ur hubby got ist stage approval letter. It means sponsor's part of application is over and ur part of application will start now for visa. Best of luck. I am still waiting for response from CIC.

"Decision Made" on his sponsor portion, but no information available yet for my end, so I will pretty
much just wait on any letters from the visa office before I assume anything.

Great news on the letters mrsmissingmr and sovo! Computer - I'm sure yours will come through soon. We're only a few days behind you so hopefully we'll see something on e-cas in the next week or so!

If you want to know NOW what the decision is I think you can call the CIC hotline and ask...

My online ECAS status has been updated to "Decision Made" for the sponsorship application. Here is what it says:

We received your application to sponsor xxxx on January 12, 2010.

We started processing your application on January 28, 2010.

We sent you a letter on January 28, 2010 about the decision on your application. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.

We're still waiting anxiously for any news at all on e-cas. Those of you who have had a decision made, etc - can I just check that you are using the receipt number from payment to check. That's all I can think to use, the number starts R*********?

Yes "cowtown gal", you use the complete receipt name (R****) alongwith the last name, date of birth and country of birth of the SPONSOR.

Thanks for that, that's what I've been using - just wanted to double check. Getting a bit anxious that everyone's is going so quickly (except ours - hahaha!!)

I'm sure it's fine, I'm just naturally very impatient. Very jealous that you are in 'cowtown' - that's where I'm from and very eager to get back there with hubby.

I don't find delays to be all that "bad" per se, you probably have enlightened them with so much information,
that they're still just checking it all, or we're all on one desk and one person can't look at more than one at
a time. ;D I'm going to think positively!

Everyone on this thread (and beyond) is so supportive and it makes this all easier to bear! Thanks guys and gals!
I'm personally going to wait for my letter from Buffalo before I start checking updates online, otherwise I'll pull my
hair out with "what part of the process are they IN?!" - Best wishes to you guys, I say it often but I mean it.

For anyone lurking, join us and vent! You'll probably feel a little better being part of a virtual community of sorts,
if that doesn't weird you out too much (I'm sure a lot of met-online couples have no problem with this, myself included).
