Thread for Applications Sent in JUNE 2010

Congrats to everyone who has heard back from CIC.. I am starting to worry since I have not heard back from CIC my app was rcvd on the 7th of June. I called on the 17th and was told that they should get back to me on the 19th of July and then I called on the 23rd and was told that my application was being worked on. It is way past the processing date on there. I paid all fees middle of May.

Any ideas what could be happening?

Loverly: I know somebody that is going through London on another forum, their timeline is 4 months so far, London have has had her Husbands Passport for 3 weeks now..So I think its standard to get PPR in 4 weeks after "In Process", then Visa Issued another 4-5 weeks later..

Oh no, try not to worry too much..it could be that the IO it was assigned to got Sick..cases are assigned to only ONE IO! Or they may have had a delay with the Sponsors Background/criminal check..

Sorry to have your package back..New Delhi has a faster processing time and from what I have seen they are going pretty fast! Dont worry about your wifes medical results..They all go to Ottawa until the Visa Office processing the applicants application requests them! They will know you opted for Buffalo to start with! Just put a note in saying that you selected buffalo to start with and put it on her medical, thats why The Green Medical form is such a big deal...its what the Visa office uses to find the results!

As for proving your wifes legal residence..Citizenship card is a good idea, I am thinking you need to provide proof your wife lives in the USA..Bank statement? Study Visa issued in USA? I am not 100% Sure but I think you may have to join the back of the Que again, I know somebody else that had his returned and he had to wait another 4 weeks! :(

Thank you! I've decided that ours is going to arrive on friday. And if it doesn't I may just bite the postie's ankles :)
 
Am actually been following this thread to update myself about my application. My wife is sponsoring me and she had just got the approved letter written since July 21 and all the necessary cllient #, KIT # are given. Simultanously, my own federal skilled PR was acknowledged by london office same date for receiving my full documents after the 1st stage @ sydney. However, its like am having 3 different application with CHC london now: spouse application, federal skilled and my phd study permit, both the PR haave gotten to 2nd stages but I have not heard from the CHC regarding my research study application.....am an enginer,got a funding to carry out research in one of the Alberta Universities come this Sept. It is 2 months my study application has been with the CHC london but no response yet. Am kinda confused tho

My app was received by CIC-M on June 24 (!!)...so that means my app is in process even though I cannot log on to
E-Cas?? I am wondering when my hubby will receive the decision on his sponsorship..hmmm
Will they tell us the result by phone with the receipt number?
 
Hello everyone! I just got my letter from the Canadian Embassy Manila confirming they have received my application!! Furthermore they are asking me to submit my passport and a certain "Affidavit of Marriages". Wee!! :)

I also got some bar code labels bearing my file number. It says in the letter I should attach a bar code label on the first page of my correspondence. So when I submit my Affidavit of Marriage and passport I should also stick one to each of them? Where exactly in the passport? Help!
 
I got the brown envelope today! Sponsorship approval! :D Now the real waiting begins
 
I can't believe they can keep your passport for so long...what if your job requires you to do some traveling while you are waiting for the visa? I would think that once they ask for your passport they should be ready to put the visa in it and send it back to you right away.

GOT IT!!!! Nice letter - only took three days in post - saying sponsorship approved, initial check of PR app complete, and PR app forwarded to Sydney AU. Go Sydney!!!

So happy, big celebration tonight... woohoooooo! <3
 
I was surprised it took almost a week for a letter to get from Mississauga to Toronto's west end.. literally 20 km! Oh well, I'm just glad it made it and they know we exist
 
i got mail! we are approved! and the application is sent to Port of Spain!!!! Yay!
