now my head is aching 'cause i can't stop stressing :-\ . I'm having all kind of thoughts going through my head ... my application was received on the 16th, so this means i will be waiting another two or three weeks before i get the envelop?

If you live in Canada the sponsor should recieve AOR for sponsorship within 1 week, Applicant should expect to wait another 2 - 4 weeks to see their application "In Process" on E-CAS then depending on how far the letter has to travel you could be waiting another 1-3 weeks for applicants AOR

Eep! That's it, I'm going to have to move into my local starbux until we hear something - only copious amounts of coffee can get me through! It's tough being a non-smoker and non-drinker at a time like this :D

Thanks for the good wishes.... right back at you!

Well, in my case Im non-smoker, non-drinker and non-coffee drinker ::) LOL. You made me thinkg what gets me through all the waiting... I guess I eat...love munchies and being constantly online.

Good luck!!

hey guys just wondering how long it will take to get an AOR. please do update ur status here if any june applicant got "inprocess" status for PR on e-cas. Britiancanda's status has already been updated..i hope we all get any news soon. I cant stand this waiting :(

YESSSSS!!! I've just received the AOR and my sponsorship has been approved on July 21st ;D :D ;D but now I have another problem because they sent PR application to Nairobi instead of Buffalo!!!! - my husband has been in buffalo since july 15th 09 (a little over 1 year) but on the letter it states:Effective May 1, 2003 Applications for PR must be processed by the visa office responsible for the applicant's country of nationality, OR the country where the applicant has been lawfully admitted for at least one year, OR in the case of applicant who is stateless, the country of habitual residence

Now i'm wondering how to get the PR application back to buffalo? :o

Hmmm.... perhaps it was just *less* than a year when they opened it/when you applied? Was he legally and continuously in Buffalo?

One month today since our app was received by Mississauga... hoping, longing to hear some good news soon!

my husband is in buffalo legally and i've applied on june 15th (maybe i should have waited a little bit more...) I guess what really bothering me now is that nairobi has the slowest processing time (26 mths for most cases)

Ah, so in their eyes that is probably 11 months - not long enough. Can you withdraw and resubmit perhaps, now it's been over a year? Might be quicker than waiting 26 months!

I started another thread on this issue and PMM has provided a full, complete explanation on why the file has gone to Nairobi (see link)

http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/-t48452.0.html

I guess there's no need to send a request for transfer - I'm just going to prepare a coffee, sit back and wait :-X ... OMG why does Nairobi has to have such a long processing time! :o

does anybody knows where i can buy that voodoo doll? maybe a few pins and needles will push them to act quicker ::)

Hi, I am a new bie and I have been reading this forum over the last couple of days and decided to join.
I am a trinidadian with a canadian hubby and our application was sent and received in Mississigua on June 24th. We have not had any feedback, and I came looking on line for other people's stories and found this forum.

So I am hoping based on what has happened to other persons here that we will hear something by this week. :)

Welcome Honeybird.. Tuesday are E-CAS update days..So try and log on using your Husbands Details (Surname, Date of Birth, Country of Birth) and the receipt number from when you paid your fees..You should hear something very soon, Which part of Canada is your Husband from? It could take 1 -2 weeks for him to get his letter depending on which province its going to! :)
