Thread for applications sent December 2009!!!

I'm still waiting :( No news since I received a letter on the 12th Jan to say it was in process or something... and apparently I can't check ecas when it's done through quebec :( Sick of waiting now it's been 7 weeks since I heard anything
 
The same here.. approved on jan 11th no news still... i hope the AOR letter is on its way... come o me soon please!

Congrats! I'm wondering if there are people still waiting for passport requests though... We submitted the application about a week before you did and we're still waiting (I see you got your passport request more than a month ago).

We did make the mistake of putting a copy of our solemnization record in with the application instead of the marriage certificate but we faxed them a copy so I didn't think it would add more than a couple of weeks delay to the process.
 
Oops, I take back my congrats NYCtoNB...I just realized that your passport was lost. That sucks. :(

which bisa offive is processing your app? i think thats really what adds the time mine was transfered to a smaller office from Buffalo
 
NYCtoNB, did you receive an AOR from NYC? or did you directly receive your PPR? My application was transferred to NYC on March 23 and have not heard anything yet from them.

It's being processed at Buffalo unfortunately. I'm hoping the file isn't languishing in a pile somewhere.
 
uhm, i dont even know what an AOR is, the only thing i ever got from nyc, was a PPR
they don't seem to be very big on contacting people, it took an insane amount of effort for me to get them to inform me if they had gotten my passport or if i needed a new one, thats why i am getting it so last minute.

sigh, on the trackitt sight Buffalo doesn't seem to be moving too quickly but still it's better than a lot of other places, i'm sure you'll here something
 
Yeah, not sure what is happening at Buffalo now. My husband was in Canada on a work permit which expired in late December and his employer tried several times to get a new LMO approved (so he could get a new work permit) but HRSDC refused to approve it. So his former employer has been kindly holding his job for him until his PR application gets approved but it has been so long now that they are starting to get impatient. I guess the Canadian government really doesn't want his tax dollars... :P
 
Still waiting! It arrived Dec 17th (Thanks to the worst express service... UPS... for taking 1 week instead of 24hrs >:()

Approved Jan 7th
Start the process in Damascus Jan 31st.

AND STill WAITING :'(
 
new passport received and mailed, yet again, today
 
Mexico finally notified us that our application is now in process in their office! Finally!

Haven't heard much from my fellow Decemberites these days...hope everyone's cases are going ok!
