This is ridiculous!

I have called the call center today as I am at day 48...my application for sponsorship was rec'd in Mississauga April 22/10. The guy I spoke to said they have no record of it, don't know where it is but will look into it. If I don't hear anything...call back in 30 days. IMAGINE! UGH...I am soooo stressed at this point! I just don't know what else to do!

Yeah, I thought so too! I am at my wits end, could scream, cry, jump up and down and just throw a fit! Not that any of that will do any good but might make me feel better momentarily!

I can understand east coast girl. I am going through appeal and won back in March. I called CIC call centre and they said that delhi accepted the file on april 13. I had emailed delhi to see how long before they would require documents and things would start moving with our file. they said we have not gotten anything from Canada yet. I was shocked. three months nearly and no one knows anything. I contacted the MPs office got same kind of answer. There is no file there yet, or it might be there but not opened and started to work on it yet. I just want some straight answers. I realize they are busy but we have a right to know what is going on with our cases. "call back in two weeks, lets give them a month to see what happenes". I am so tired of being put off.

phyther, do u have any news? can u log in to ecas? our application was received on april 27. can't log in yet either and the cic website says they are revieweing now applications sent before may 3rd.

Yes, I was able to log in to e-cas as of June 3rd and received the letter on same day.

WELL...got home to an extremely nice surprise....got my Sponsorship approval letter in the mail. So, I freaked out for nothing and CIC hasn't got a clue!

Seems like I'm the only one who sent their application in April and still waiting for the CIC decision...I wonder what could possibly go wrong. :'(

Hey guys, I'm new on here and I have to say waiting blows! I'm still waiting for my approval which I sent in on April 30th. Hopefully all goes well.

My husband got a letter of approval finally 8) The decision was made on June 2. Can't log in to ECAS though : So you guys should hear from CIC any day now.

- able to login to e-cas June 9th decision made
- still waiting for approval letter

Question: Does anyone know how long it takes for them to receive the application in Cairo from Canada? and when will my ecas status change from "Decision made" to "In Process"?

Hi all,

Just a brief update. Returned home from visiting my husband, nice surprise in mailbox, the sponsorship approval!! dated May 25th. And my E-cas is now working.

Now, for the next step........................... ;D
