That's great news. Where did you see the status? Was it the same website as the Sponsorship application?

Yep, Same website with the same log in information that I used previously which was my details (as I am the sponsor) and my receipt number.

Hello all april 2010 applicants,

Wanted to update all of the latest on my case........ my wife received the AOR yesterday from abu dhabi office and they have asked for a supplementary info form (5549) to be sent to them.
she has filled the form and will send it in 1-2 days though there is time of 30 days given.

Hope things move fast ..... and she is wiht me soooooooon.... miss her a lot ......

So our time lines are :
april 4 - application sent to CPC-M
april 6 - application received at CPC-M
May 11 - sponsor approved
May 14 - Sponsor approval letter received & mentioned that file transferred to visa office (abu dhabi)
May 25 - AOR received from Abu dhabi

I've been going through this forum for a long time. i got married in feb, my husband is now a citizen in Canada. i sent all the docs and the application was submitted in April. On may 17th, he got a mail approving his sponsorship. and that the doc has been sent to New Delhi. the sponsor application status reads decision made and the permanent residence application status reads "not available". . wondering how when they will change the status.

It will say "in process" when CIC ND starts the process, it will be soon.....

Hi all,
I recieved the letter in the mail May 25th.

"We are pleased to advise that you have met the requirements for eligibility as a sponsor. Accordingly the undertaking and the Application for Permanent Residence have been forwarded to the Visa Office in SAO PAULO for further processing."


Now we wait more...

My time lines are as follows:
Applications recieved by CIC Mississiauga: April 12, 2010
Website changed: Decision made, letter sent: May 17, 2010
Recieved CIC letter: May 25, 2010. Sponsorship application approved, Permanent Resident Application sent to Sao Paulo

Martin, any luck logging into ECAS? I would expect that your turn should be in the next few days.

I went into the ECass system, but nothing is coming up. There are multiple ways of spelling my last name...not sure if their site is case sensitive...and also some people use a space in my last name, where others don't. So I have tried different ways of putting in my last name (all the ways are accurate).

So at the end of the day, I guess its hurry up and wait.

I have the same difficulties to log in. I found on immigration website that in this case we should contact them @Question@cic.gc.ca. Sent a request, waiting for response.

Hi Martin,

I'm not seeing any status either and I'm April 15th. The call centre (1-800_) advised me that sometimes people's status does not show on website but they still recieve the notice in the mail advising of sponsership approval/disapproval. According to them it has something to with the time you get processed and the time they update the system, some people's data is missed and will not see updates on e-CAS.

We sent our applications in the same day, Apr.15, 2010. If you don't mind, let's share the updates when we get. I know that they have started Apr.15 on May19, but still in process.

Yes, let's keep each other updated. Right now, I'm in U.S. visiting my husband so can't be checking mailbox, but am checking e-CAS.

Hello everyone.....

i still cannot see any change in our status on ecas..... we received a letter from CPC-M on May 14 stating that my sposnorship is approved on may 11 and the file is sent to the visa processing office .....(abu dhabi).... then again on may 25 my wife received an email from the visa processing office regarding her file number and request for another form (IMM5549)to be filled and sent.... and she has already sent that.......

but today when i checked the ecas ... with the client id .... and my (sponsor) details.... it only shows decision made ...(sponsor approval) and thats all.... if i try entering the file no (B......) it say information not available.....

is this normal??? i m a bit worried now.....

your answers will be appreciated.... thank you
