I think you are a part of a different program than everyone here (if I am not mistaken). That's why you are not getting any practical advise, as everyone here is apart of the family sponsorship program. Have you tried posting on the skilled worker thread?

I m part of Sponcership and my lawyer in canada has filed my application.
My husband & me is really fed up now coz my history is bit complex i started my immigration from 2008 as a temorary worker n there after few up down with Immigartion. all clear now but only thing they r delaying my file with no reason. And our lawyer has filed my application from canada so that we can not go to MP directly as he email us that we r close now we waited so long now few more days as my medical wud expires in sept end. one of his friends wife they called n asked if she cud come collect immigrant visa from ND they may not call me but it should close by july or aug i feels. if not then i am help less i hv seen very tough situation in my life during my first traveling n come back from Canada Edmonton law is very strict & killed a person who innocent i wud say i was victim well that was a big history but only i trust my husband all he stayed with me all my up n down thats big imp thing in my life what my VO doing i really don"t know but that lady VO was too nice i felt n she took my interview for more then 55 mins and at the end she said we will issue visa on address mention ........ so we were confirmed that we succeed but then after near by 2 months no news i m confused i belive she was conviced coz ther was nothing hidden i was open book in front of her.
& CHC only take enqury by fax or email so its useless to be ther personnaly i think.
my all option is over now only thing i can wait nothing else & also mention on their should not send same enqiry again so its not a good sign to mail them back i thing now ?????????????????????
Now i m gonna wait any things happens will keep u posted///// (reply) (edit) (delete) (report this)

shraddha.abhi,

Your sponsor can always seek the assistance of the MP, regardless of where your file was submitted and whether or not it was through a lawyer. The MP has a right to check on these files for their people. Whther you think it is close to being done or not, I would have your sponsor contact the MP. Sometimes with the push, and the acknowledgement of how long it has taken, they will push your file along. If you sit and wait, you could wait a long time. It doesn't hurt to take that trip and get the ball rolling with MP. It's a matter of meeting with them and telling them the story with your timeline.
