Dear senior members,

Hope you all enjoying the heat and not missing India in this regard ;D I am wondering if any one, who landed recently, received the PR card? I cant believe it..this all long waiting period ended so quickly just because of help and support of this forum and now when I look back I have no words to thank all so knowledgeable people I met on this forum without whom this frustrating and boring process would have been like hell...so thanks again and wish you the best always....Regards...V

Hey Buddy,

It has been 7 weeks for my wife..still no PR card....

Hi,
I'll be landing at Pearson on 12th Aug. Super excited!
Need some advice and guidance on the degree/diploma evaluation.. whats it all about? and do i need to do it from India or Canada?
Do i need to get all my degrees evaluated or just the highest one?
Would appreciate some pointers on this.
Thank you

What degree do you hold?

It is a non regulated field, but if you want your degree evaluated here is where you go

They can NOT work in the same field unless a body evaluates their degree.

What do you plan to do...study or look for jobs in the business field?

Hello !

Congratulations and Wishing you a bright future with lots of luck in Canada.

Regulated/non-regulated occupation needs to be evaluated and assessed !

Since your occupation is non-regulated. Your credentials have to be recognized & assessed by a relevant agency or provincial agency. The assessment will conclude and compare your education with province/territory educational standards where you are planning to settle down.

If your having good experience in your field i.e Administration/HRM/Office Manager...etc than there is no need to be assessed, you can prove employer that you have the education and experience to do the job.

Carry experience/appointment letter ! By the way where are you settling down ?

You can mail and confirm your credentials and job-related information - credentials @ cic.gc.ca or call and confirm via phone 1-888-854-1805 or TTY 1-800-926-9105 !

You no need to worry regarding your profession, your having lot of job opportunities.

For more information check the link given by fprince and http://www.credentials.gc.ca/index.asp

Hope this will help you out.

Thanks a lot nylalisa and fprince! appreciate your help like always...keep doing good work....Regards..V ;D
