Confused...he is not going to work at Subway! Trust me!!! He might need to get his credentials converted if he wants to work in his field...but I'm sure he can find a pretty decent job if he is ok with business/management like fprince said.

I understand doing masters can be costly...but well worth it at the end. I'm not sure if he can apply for OSAP right away....I think u need to be in Ontario for 12 mnths in order to apply. Consider a student loan from a bank.
To add...I won't consider it a loan...rather an investment towards your future!!!

With reference to your message.

CIC M - Received my application on 15th March and Processed on 13 Apr and requested additional documents.

Documents resubmitted to CIC - M on 20th Apr and decision was made on 30 May and dispatched to CHC New Delhi 30 May 2011 after approval.

Hey guys I read da above discussion ... M agree wid all u guys da only prob wid educated people like us when we move to canada is dat whether we go for studies or for job .... But like I was in canada for 2 years on student visa n sone of my frnds even pass dere masters from UfT but even den they didn't get jobs ... So I m confused dat wat to stdy ... Like short courses like Crain operator , AC maintinenve or some repair type or like proper stdies ... Or go for cab driving....
One thng more is dere any organization which guide new immigrants to help dem to adopt new carrer or guide dem dat wat dey do or which field should dey join as I done diploma in networking from York uni n here I am comp. Engg. In india but I dnt think in Canada Dere is any job for me .....

Wat I think VISA is not a real problem da real problem is wat we do Wen we reach Canada ... How we earn our bread n butter in da starting months ... Basement rent ,, car insurance ,, furniture cost ,, grocery,, ph bills,, n fee for courses like security guard course fee ,, driving license fee,, n lots of many other expenses ....

I totally agree with Fprince here that he should look at long term and not worry about student loan, i did my electrical engineering on student loan and paid it off later and they give u enuff time once u grad to pay and they dont even charge u interest if u dont have job so i would say make sure he does his masters, that is the only way he will get a decent job and gud for his career, short term CAD and PLC courses could get him a job but its gonna be tough. Good Luck.
