u may get them back in Canada ... they do post em back to canadian address after scanning etc. if they look like copies of originals they keep them.
u can always call n ask for them.

Thanks for the info bro. I didn't know that the pictures can be mailed to the Canadian address. Either way, I'm happy that my wife got her visa. I'll stop thinking about the pictures from now, period.

I received the PPR email today from ND. My file was transferred to ND on 21st Feb, 2012.

Now the real waiting period begins ???

I have some doubts on the conditional PR going to be implemented:

1. Any restrictions on the conditional PR spouse earning/ getting a job in Canada?
2. Is the 2 years calculated from the marriage anniversary day or the day the sponsored spouse gets conditional PR/lands in Canada?
3. When is this conditional PR likely to be implemented?
4. The day when the law comes into effect, will it apply to applicants who already applied and are waiting for visa (like us), or to spouses who will get married/ going to apply after the bill is passed?

Its same thing with me also. ND has my wife's PP from November and still no information at all. People who applied with me have got it and even people who applied after me have got it too. We people are really unfortunate. Dont know what is ND doing with our Passports. Dont they know the importance of relationships at all... It really sucks....

The context of the implementation of such a law has not been established yet, hence the "public consultation". They will be posting a survey and talk to the public to participate in dialogues and the survey so that they can then decide the outcome.

In my opinion, the 2 years will be calculated from the day the applicant becomes a "landed immigrant", regardless of the date of marriage.
If all goes well as scheduled, this "law" would be implemented, if not in the last quarter of 2012, then early 2013.

My only worry is.. if I somehow fall into the category who gets this conditional PR, this law should not stop me from getting a job for two years I'll go MAD....

Yeah you are right Mapledreams. But on the side note, if our relationships/marriages are genuine, why should we even worry about all these things. I just want my wife here with me and dont care if she is a PR or in TRV, all I want is that she and I to be united soon. This is my humble view and no offence meant on anyone.

My problem is with not being able to get a job or work for two years... Its a looong time...
