I don't feel so lucky. My wife has a travel history so i hoping to hear something in early march.

I always thought you were a 'she' :-/ My bad...

If Bali Bali gets DM within 10 days max (and me..)
Then we can say that CHC-ND is now working towards less than 40 days from PPR for straight forward cases!
however what is a straight forward case maybe much more clearer when mine happens.

Kannadiga did not see my post asking for details

Hello ajith,
My wife is a Sep-29 Applicant. Our case is still in Application recived in ECAS
she sent a mail to CHC. They replied her case was awaiting initial review.

In my opinion it is too early for you to feel "apprehensive" there are still people here from July,August who got nothing.
So be cool. Any follow up action you do wait for 6 months to complete. Do not try before that it will be meaningless.

You see it all depends on case and some luck too. Your case seems to be straight forward.
But I observe that the processing time from PPR to DM was originally above 100 days and now coming to less than 100 days.

For your information I tried to bring my wife in TRV, I applied 4 times and rejected.

The only option for you to be is stay cool and wait.

Thanks a lot for your views Siva. Do you have any idea why they might call for an interview? Just asking?

Thanks a lot for your info regarding TRV also. As you have said, I need to just wait only, I guess...

yes, our time line is almost the same... but you can never judge ND office...some of the applicants who applied in sept also got DM...

Is your case straight forward ?? sf in the sense no travel history and a simple one...

Thanks for your reply Kuku. Yes, I believe my case is straight forward as my wife doesn't have any travel history.

well no letters yet. fingers crossed.

Bali, my wife had a call from the embassy and after 10~15 days it changed to in-process and then later in a week or 2 it changed to DM. There was no letter or anything. so hang in there you are just inches away from DM ;)

BTW any1 from toronto?

Hey no, that isnt what I meant. I dont know what I meant actually. Just a stupid assumption, and you know what they say about people who jump to conclusions - they fall flat on their faces. :-/

in process generally means that they are doing some bc or sent u a letter asking for additional info.

In process means, somewhere in somefile, no one knows whats going on and whats gonna happen until next BFD. Thats what it is. VO opens your file only on BFD. They have so much work, they dont pic your file out of turn. So relax and wait. thats the key.

Cheers!

most of the times it takes 2-3 weeks to go to "DM" from "in process" if your case is straight forward not requiring BC..

oh so usually they ask for extra info/ telephone interview BEFORE "in process"????????????. has anyone gotten an interview date after "in process."

BTW i opted for only email communication with cic, no email so far.

i opted for only email communication with cic,

how did you do that ? :o

while filling in the sponsorship forms, there's a column where it asks you for an email address, and if you do, it states that email would be the only means of communication with CIC

I have known cases where even with an email address, they send only postal mails...
its true that if we give our email, they might send us an email communication, but we cant be sure that that would be the ONLY means !

yeah i heard that too but hopefully thats not the case with us. the PPR & sponsorship approval both came to our email addresses. no paper comms.
