Hey deepak, I remember that they asked you to send extra photos by oct 30 which implies that they would have look at your file today. Hopefully it was the final review and you should see an ecas update next tuesday. Now i'm not sure what sort of impact the diwali holidays would have on processing but ever since the CWG, the new delhi chc has been moving at a snails pace. I'm praying that they pick up speed soon and start giving out those PR's.

@ Sim.... as far as i have read on this forum, no one has been negatively impacted by contacting their mp to get more info on their file. In most cases, folks get a quicker response on the status of their file. So I wouldn't worry too much about any negative impacts to the application.

My MP cotacted the office a couple of times for updates and it didnt slow things down at all. MPs can find out things within a short period of time. I know for me she made the request one day and next day she had some info.

@ deepak virdi..ya same here no updates..n its been 70 days they've my pp..
i thought they are done with june ppl but i guess we still hav some june applicants with us..it shuld be done by now but we have no choice except to wait ....maybe next week is ours!!

Hey Sim I think you mentioned you have lived in Canada before I believe they might just be completing a Canadian background check like it was the case with Minku , dont worry you will hear some good news soon , whatever goodnews might be will have to wait a week or so after Diwali to them back on track.

Yeah they asked for more photos. I'm too hoping that next Tuesday would be mine with many others who are w8ing to meet their better half.

Yeah same here.. I was thinking nw I'm alone from June... but sad to say I have a company.
Yeah I'll pray that plz make the next Tuesday as our best Tuesday.
They didn't contacted you after getting your PP?? as I have to send more Photos.

dnt worry..u will get it soon..n no they dint ask for anythin after PPR..i emailed them in the beg. of oct to confirm if they have rec. my PP and they replied sayin they "have got one original passport for this appn"..
n its goin thru initial review"..
after that no updates or anythn from their side..but i m thinkin to contact MP to know the status of my app..still confused if i shuld be doin that or not...

Don't worry, I think now a days, ND has changed to procedure of sending PPR. First they review the application then ask for PPR. Although I got PPR after 7 days when file transfer to ND, but they reviewed my file after it and asked for more photos.
But still I'm w8ing for Visa.
Have patience, you'll get PPR soon.

Yes, its the same for me too. Its been 6 weeks since my file is transferred to ND, and still no response. And eCas also still shows as PR status not available.

hey guys i jus noticed the site cic.gc.ca...they made changes on the application processing times link..earlier they mentioned percentages but now they have clearly stated it takes 6 months for ND to process an application..

m worried now..does that mean it will surely take 6 months for every application ??..

Come on guys... don't see 6 months in front of New Delhi but also see it is one of the fastest country to process Visa, only China has 4 months.
Most of the countries take more than One Year.
So it is good that we are in INDIA. Being most populated countries still they are at top.

Cheers ... I know it is hard but if we think like that we gonna make it hardest...

Hey guys read it carefully again , no need to panic its nothing different than wht it was before it says it took an average upto 6 months to complete 80% of cases within the time given , does not mean every case will take upto 6 months to complete , relax , its just instead of 2-6 months they have put down a set date to give urself at least 6 months before contacting them , I am sure they did this to reduce the number of inquires they keep getting between the 2-6 month period

And besides its dated upto 30th sep2010 and there have been ppl right fromthis forum that have gotten their ppr after that with in less than 6 months
