Ottawa applying strict rules to keep a check on sham marriages

As the number of sham marriages are increasing at a high rate, the Ottawa government is moving to keep put a bar to such practices in order to maintain reliability of its immigration system.
Recently an alarming increase in number of sham marriages taking place is a big cause of worry for the state and immigration authorities of the country. The officials are in immense trouble with such marriages of convenience as it is a straight threat to the integrity and reliability of the country’s immigration system. A large number of cases has been found where such marriages are taking place just with the sole intention of earning money by sponsoring a spouse to the country, also such a system is being used as a gate pass to escape from the restrictions which do not allow the aspirants to get in the country.
To maintain the trustworthiness of the Canadian immigration system the officials are looking to track such fraudulent immigrants and also devising new rules to control such practices.
New Rules:
Ottawa immigration authorities are now ready to bring out new rules that will help them to keep a check on such fraud marriages and also give them authority to punish the fraudulent immigrant’s severely. According to the new rule proposed the immigrants found guilty of lying to the officials about their relationship would loose their sponsored partner as such partners would be eligible for deportation straightway. To further keep a tighter check on such fraud marriages, these rule authorities can also pose a ban for the future five years for sponsoring the partner to Canada, that is the immigrant found guilty will not be allowed to sponsor next spouse to the country for the coming five years.
Rules Concept:
Ottawa is also working on applying restrictions as it is in the other countries like Australia and U.S., where one has to fulfill several restrictions for sponsoring a spouse.
Adding to it, this new rule would be a result of nationwide reviews which has been collected by the Department of citizenship and Immigration, who founded on survey conducted on 2300 citizens that there is a scope of change in the rules for controlling of such fraudulent acts in the country.
Working on this idea, the Ottawa government is expected to increase their conditional time period up to 2 years or more, but still it has not been determined.
Implementation of new rules:
It is expected that government will levying these new rules and regulations soon around the ending months of this year.
