Hi,
I am new to this forum as well as this thread. My wife just couriered me the application from India yesterday.
She told she will send it through Fedex. i asked her to try Speedpost.
In two days the application has reached North America. It cost Rs. 800 only.

She has sent marriage certificate copy with notary attested only.
Will this be any problem?

Hello,
Shoul'nt be any problem but ask her send as well as medical and police clearence certificate.
Kindly ensure to submit Medicals, PCC and PR fee with your initial application, It will save your processing time.

ecase changed to interview on 6SEP........donno why everything was normal.....
taking it +ve ly tht will get visa on same day but tensed 2.....shoooooo

it was n still application received but a new line is added under tht inteview for XXXXX is scheduled on 6sep2011
abt medical i had word wit the doc who did my medical...they said they always forward the medical to nd after 2 days n they forwarded mine too.......n moreover if they have called me 4 interview means they got my medical......

wat was ur status before????in process or application received???medical has been received???

Hello, the information on medicals is clear now, thank you both Shamsia and Borntowin. My last question for a while I hope - my fiancé will need a PCC from India, Australia and UK. The validity is only 3 months, so he can't apply too early but we shouldn't delay if the waiting period is several weeks or a few months. Any idea how long it takes to get a PCC from those countries?

In India Police clearance certificate is valid for 6 months only and your spouse can obtain PCC from the passport office, where his current passport has been issued and as per my knowledge CHC never demands for a new PCC even if processing takes over 6 months.

Well regarding Australia PCC let me clarify you clearly that CIC/CHC accepts PCC issued from Australian Federal Police only and not other agencies i.e Certificates issued by the state police authority or other agencies or not acceptable and it will be rejected.

You have to submit Australian Federal Police National Police Check (NPC) Application Form to obtain PCC and your spouse can obtain the form from the the Australian Federal Police check at:

More over in regard of UK Police clearance is provided by the ACPO Criminal Records Office (ACRO). Well Amira Mais its not that much hectic to get UK PCC, just download the undermentioned form and apply accordingly with the requisite fee & self addressed envelope and within a month your spouse will get his UK PCC. My kind advice inform your spouse to apply immediately for UK & Australia PCC.

PR guide clearly states that applicants need to submit PCC from all the countries where one has resided for over 6 months after 18 years of age

You are free to approach CHC Delhi with your specific enquiry, they say that CHC doesn't responds to applicants before 6 months of processing time but they do and surely they will respond to your enquiry.

So you will be receiving your interview letter wanna soon, I guess your having Marriage album ready with U and other originals, if not gather everything accordingly and start discussing with your spouse. You both should be aware of your backgrounds very well.

Just marriage certificate with notary attested in more than enough for submission to CPC M and there is no need to sent any originals unless asked by CHC Delhi.
