Hi Guys,

Wifey received the passport with a shiny new visa. Thank you all on this forum...everyone has been a tremendous help. Congratulations to those who made it through and a speedy visa to all those undergoing the process.

Special shout out to Fprince, DNT2003 and Panda for your help throughout the process. When I started, I was new to the process and did not anything about the workings at Delhi...now 4 and a half months later, after completion of this journey and a constant devotee of this forum...I still feel like I know nothing about the workings at Delhi. However, without the companionship of all those in this forum the journey would have been much more difficult to endure....I am grateful that in most occasions Delhi over achieves from what is stated on their website...i.e. 6 months. I hope for all those undergoing the process..they also over achieve for you.

Hello everyone!
My wife is a canadian citizen and we got married in Feb 2011. I am from India. We have sent file to missisauga on 17th and reached on 18th march 2011, they started processing file and apporoved it on 19th april and 29th april they received file at new delhi. On 11th may 2011 they sent me letter and i received on 19th may and they asked for my pcc, landing fee and passport and i sent my passport.
Now my questions are:
1. How long will they take to issue me a visa? The status ecas showing APPLICATION RECEIVED.
2. Why they asked the passport exactly for? What do they do after receving the passport. Is there any chance of interview after I sent my passport.
3. When is the time when interview is scheduled?

Please help! Your help would be greatly appreciated!!

We are tired of this waiting... I can't enjoy anything... frustrated all the time....even if they ask for an interview we will be happy because we will have a date in mind then...we are thinking of sending a CSE next week...

I understand what you are going through..the first few months are always stressful and always thinking abt the same thing and then you get used to it.
Give it some more time, it has been close to a month for you guys after you sent the PP to ND.
Remember we never still know when they do the BC..so maybe they are running it for you guys.

Be a bit more patient and you will hear some good news..my personal advice, it is too early to send a CSE..use your CSE when you really need it cos Nylalisa once said that each CSE or when you try to contact them goes into your CAIPS and delays the process...why delay something which is not delayed yet.

Sending the PP to NewDelhi is like winning the race, once you have done that you should just wait for the presentation ceremony... ;D
my struggle was with not being able to send the PP for 5 months..and i just got used to it.

I got my Interview letter...

scheduled on 14/06/2011 at 10.30 am

Your sponsor must be available for a possible phone interview at the same time that ur interview is being held in new delhi.

If ur sponsor in india he/she should accompany u to the interview.

Not all sponsors will be contacted as it may not be necessary.

If sponsored by your husband/wife bring ur engagement and wedding photographs and wedding invitation cards, if available.

Also bring all evidence of communication with ur sponsor, eg. cards/letters, telephone bills. Telephone calling cards are not acceptable proof.

and some attachment of interpretation servces for languages and prices for those services.

Not sure what's happening, but I'm very frustrated with this no PPR bull$hit, I hope the CSE I sent recently does impact in positive way!

You are right. Thanks for the advice. A CSE at this point will unnecessarily delay the case and it might not achieve the intended purpose. So it's better to wait. I should not be very impatient as DNT2003 with same timelines still have not received PPR. I hope after May they will have more time to finalize our cases.

Just a quick update on my side..My husband has been called for an interview on June 28. Hope everything goes well..
No update on ECAS yet. He got an email abt the interview and they asked him the acknowledge the receipt of the email.

New update :

A VO from the consulate called my hubby this afternoon and did some general inquiries. After all the questions, he said you will receive your pp within 10-12 days...Ofcourse, the website hasnt changed its status as yet..

I am hopeful !!!
