Some good news from my side to finish the week on a better note.

She got the PPR letter from CHC-New Delhi. The letter was issued in 15/APR/2011 and received on 21/APR/2011.

just a correction, and I do think the VO must have approved them and already put the visa on the PPT, just wanted to see him on the interview day to make sure...

It would be good to know all the details of the VISA, because decision was on March 15 and Interview on 18th PPT pickup on 19th according to the date below.

and she does say NEXT DAY AT THE VISA OFFICE IN NEW DELHI so I bet they've had everything ready for him even before his interview, and might have mistakenly ask for interview rather than sending the passport back with the VISA. and after the interview.. they must have said to him.. you may pick up your "ALREADY" stamped passport with VISA tomorrow.. its just we can't follow our procedure properly... so we made a mistake by scheduliing an interview for you rather than send you the passport...

or we wanted to save some hundred ruppeeees by not sending you through the register postttt.

I'm just speculating.. I would like to here from you ohohogirl.. and tell us what really happened...

hi so I talk to my mother (she also immigrant) about the visa. she said probably reason is still we are new couple(and nepali?? i know at least one nepali get visa without interview.).
and her guess is that maybe there are some rules they have to follow.

for example in our case, maybe rule is something like
'if the couple is togather less than one year, do interview.'

so even the officer think he can get PR by just checking document, he still need to do interview.... so probably all document was finished at the time. and he give him visa on next day, maybe because he have a baby who he haven't met yet........

That's such a wonderful news, I'm very happy to see this, and I remember we both are on the same day, meaning we both had our file transfer on the same day (or I should say approved by CPC-M)

Where are you located in India, my PPR is I hope / pray with IPS, but it has to make it to Gujarat (Surat) to be exact.

I don't know how many days that will take, I hope it is with IPS.

I like how your brain works..... specially with the IF statement... you sound like you are a prgammer..,.. and writing some C# code...

 Then = "Interview"
Else If >=1 year
 Then = "VOs Descretion"
Else 
 couple = "Assign Visa"

Anyways see if you can figure out the DATE stamps and list all the dates here please.

It's good the get the PPR. I was very stressed worrying that the letter will be sent to Toronto as I am using a Lawyer. It would have taken 20 days to arrive in lawyer's office. But New Delhi send it to indian address. I am grateful to them.

I hope so too, and I do have the postive feelings, if you read my earlier post I did mention, I'm just getting positive vibes about the PPR being with the IPS.

I did just quickly check to see how far Delhi is from SURAT and ORISSA and seems APPROX 1300KM (SURAT) 1500KM (ORISSA)

You are farther than I'm but distance doesnt mean anything, how efficient are the postal lines when it comes to taking mail from one city to next.

yeah true about the part where people might feel stressed... and to make it even more stressome.. I was thinking of colour ORANGE (amber) for that section ... in BOLD
