Hi Guys,

Please explain me this weird update.

They updated my E-CAS just today.

it reads they started processing my file on 10-Feb-2011.

They are in contact with me since 01 december asking additional documents, Phone call, and two back to back letters of PPR.

I just sent them E-mail asking Re-medical and status on 07 Feb

Are they acting funny or what ???

Sahi, dont worry.. hw come they update even on sundays? weird.. Btw what was ur prev status? u said medical received was removed right?? Did u get addnal doc request letter? Can u pls tell me what addnal docs they asked in the letter and in the phone call??

Hi sanyrog.

Additional documents they asked was, copies of my spouse's PP pages, my detail background chart again, as i did job in few diffrent indian states and our honeymoon pics, as we had honeymoon after 9 months of marriage, and we had explained in our application that we planned it later.

On phone they asked general questions from application as i had explained earlier
It was good one.

then , first time ECAS updated on 25 jan 2010 .
Application received and medicals received.

Then medical received part vanished on 5th Feb 2011

And today, It reads
Application received and they start processing on 10 feb 2011.



I didn't receive any re-medical request yet.
Anyways i am going to do medical again this week.

PPR for us...would be nice..just confused with the Police Clerance. Website says.."The certificate must have been issued no more than three months before you submit your application"
Submit = CPC Mississaga approval date or CHC New Delhi opening file? cos if its CHC ND then 3 months would be over for most of us..and getting one more is just another pain in the a##

How come your file was tranfered to New Delhi a week after the Sponsorship approved? Usually they transfer the files same day of AOR.

Additional documents they asked was, copies of my spouse's PP pages, my detail background chart again, as i did job in few diffrent indian states and our honeymoon pics, as we had honeymoon after 9 months of marriage, and we had explained in our application that we planned it later.

On phone they asked general questions from application as i had explained earlier
It was good one.

Hi Sahi;

They requested the documents from you on 1st December and they are saying that they started processing the application on Feb 10, 2011 ? That doesn't make sense. From this we can see how efficient New Delhi is.

Like our external affairs minister started reading the wrong speech in New York may be just like that New Delhi might have updated a wrong ECAS update , it's very possible and sounds normal now

Just want to let you know my wife has landed yesterday, and everything is well, the experience is great. She landed in Toronto, and did not haev problems going through immigration, all you have to remember, is your spouses name, and the address where you will be staying at.

Quick question,

How do we now go abouts PR card? My wife did not get a booklet or anything like that, my friends told me that they take picture right there, but nothing like that happened. Any ideas?

My application was approved Dec 24th i guess and i got the letter on the 28th of Dec ( due to 26,27 being holidays here )
In ECAS under PR application it says they "app received" in chc delhi on Jan 4th and this status was updated on the 25th Jan.
These guys are driving everyone nuts !

She must have signed a form where they mention to sign inside a box. they use the pic attached on that form for the PR card. you should get it within 4-6 weeks. if not then u can contact their call centre.

No pics required, she will get the PR card in the address she gave the officer within 4 weeks. It will come before it.
Welcome to Toronto, they don give booklets to everyone...
Enjoy the best climate in Feb we have seen for decades.

THE PR card is usually shipped automatically in around 3-4 weeks so not to worry about that.
