hello everyone
i have interview at new delhi on 31st and i heard on this forum that there is no parking place near to embassy and we have to park 5-6 kms away and take taxi. is it true??
i cant believe that :-\ :-\ i think we can park anywhere in India (even in front of parliament) just need to pay extra

there is a parking place near a park not sure abt name but think its nehru park which is around 2 km away only our driver also parked there

Due to the security reasons private car parking is not allowed near any Embassy except some permit vehicles and btw you can park at Nehru Park as said by Gwalyat. Good luck and wishing you speedy process and visa asap.

Looking for some advice - what is the maximum physical cash in rupees or US dollars that can be brought out of India when leaving for immigration purposes? What's the best way to bring funds into Canada? If you do an electronic bank transfer, how do you minimize the fees for the transaction and currency conversion?

Looking for some advice - what is the maximum physical cash in rupees or US dollars that can be brought out of India when leaving for immigration purposes? What's the best way to bring funds into Canada? If you do an electronic bank transfer, how do you minimize the fees for the transaction and currency conversion?

You can carry cash value of upto 100,000 US$ for the trip when you leaving India to Canada for Immigration. When you arrive at the canadian airport they will give you a form to fill in flight, there will be a question on how much funds you are bringing in. If it is above 10,000$ , you would need to let the officer know.. its for declaration purposes only. No need to worry for that. If you want to wire transfer money that the same you have a limit of 100,000$ for one year. ICICI has good rates and the cheapest i know. Go to the head branch in your city for ICICI, bring your spouse's bank details in Canada i.e bank account number, branch transit number, bank name, branch address, your spouse's home address and the SWIFT code for that bank. Ask your hubby to go to his bank and tell him to give him the Wire transfer details he needs to give to you in India so that you can do the wire transfer.

The money will get in your account in 2 days. When you go to ICICI, be sure to bring your id. ICICI wont bother you if the funds are less or equal to 2 lakh rupees in one day. If you want to do a bigger transfer, you can either break your transfers in 2 lakh rupees and do each transfer daily. OR you can transfer bigger amounts in one go but ensure to provide them the source of those funds...
